I haven't done a Twittering Tuesday Broker's Open is quite some time. Just to clarify, Broker's Open aka Caravan happens every Tuesday from 11am-2pm and is where agent's launch all of their new listings for fellow agents to preview. I feel like this is Oprah's "My Favorite Things Week", but instead of giving you the latest Dustbuster (do they even make thoseanymore) or Panini Maker, I am treating you to some of my favorite streets/neighborhoods that you may not be aware of. This is especially for the newer rich kids who haven't discovered these hidden gems of residential living in the heart of everything.

Lately I have had a lot of interest in the Nichols Canyon section of Hollywood. This has always been a favorite area of mine and one that I have spent a lot of time showing clients various properties. Nichols Canyon is located off of Hollywood Blvd between Laurel Canyon (the turn off is right where Crescent Heights turns into Laurel) and La Brea. For those of you who are new to the area, this is an extremely residential section of Hollywood Blvd boasting  Palm tree lined streets with large homes and well kept multi family dwellings. Tax Credit Extended Until April 30th & Second Tax Credit of $6500 for Second Home Purchases - 11/07/09 03:38 PM
For all you rich kids who are currently in escrow on new construction and don't have a finite close date or for those of you who are still looking for the perfect pad, this extension is the news that you have been looking for. There had been rumors for a while that they would indeed extend the credit, but nothing had been passed until a couple of days ago. What's even more exciting is that there is now a $6500 credit for repeat homebuyers who have owned their home for at lease five years.
