"Whether it is the best of times or the worst of times, it is only time we have."               ---- Art Buchwald
Yes, I'll grant you that you can look at our economy and the real estate market and proclaim it the worst of times. Totally your prerogative. But please, don't call me. I avoid those who whine and complain and see the worst in everything. The fact is -- no matter what you think of today's market … (0 comments)

Here is a recent article I read that will keep you updated on the Langtree at the Lake development.

Barring weather delays, the long-anticipated interchange will open July 15, said engineer John Cook of the … (0 comments)

Mortgage Monday - Interest rates start to climb - 06/15/09 02:34 PM
Strong Demand for Treasury Auctions
After rising significantly over the last couple of weeks, mortgage rates moved higher again this week, but at a much slower pace. Strong demand for this week's large Treasury auctions helped keep mortgage rates relatively stable. At current yields, both foreign and domestic investors showed above average interest in adding bonds to their portfolios.
Behind the recent rise in mortgage rates has been an improved economic outlook and concerns about the enormous supply of new debt needed to pay for government programs. This leaves the Fed in a difficult position. Fed officials would like to keep … (0 comments)

Discovery Place - Changing the face of downtown Huntersville NC - 06/04/09 08:44 AM

The landscape of downtown Huntersville, North Carolina will soon change. After months of negotiations I believe we will start to see the Dicovery Place of Kids come to fruition.
Here is a recent article from a local Lake Norman paper to give you an update.
The shadow of doubt cast upon the future of Huntersville's Town Center lifted somewhat after the town successfully completed the land swap and financing agreement for the downtown development. Questions remain, however, about private partner Norcom's intentions and the reason behind a last-minute, $250,000 check the town wrote to close the deal.

Are they still on the fence? - 06/03/09 08:20 PM

After my last CE class and watching the market I am hoping people will start to realize that sitting on the fence and continuing to wait should not be an option. Properties are beginning to go under contract and rates are starting to climb. In about 6 months we will be telling people "I told you so".
The Charlotte, NC market seems to be bouncing back. How about your area? I have spoken to a Broker in south Florida and she is working with 8 buyer clients! If that is the case it will become a domino affect.
