 Lake Norman Waterfront Homes Sell for more than 10% and sometimes 30% off List Price.
 After completing a Market Report for Waterfront Lake Norman Homes homes that have sold since 5/1/2010 have on average sold at 80 to 90% of asking price.
These are homes that are averaging around a million dollars or more. One property listed at 1.5 million sold for 1.2 million. Another sold for 930k and was listed for 1.1 million. And yet another luxury home listed at 3.4 sold for 2.8 almost 20% below asking.

Sailing on Lake Norman - NC Community Sailing and Rowing Club.
Thanks to a young man from Augusta GA by the name of Will Paschal Lake Norman now has an official club that teaches young man and woman the art of sailing.
He joined the sailing and rowing center, part of Mecklenburg Park and Recreation in late winter. He not only teaches young sailors but also coordinates a large group of talented volunteers who do everything from woodworking to teaching. The youngest student is 11 and there is no upper limit on age.

The World's Largest Plane lands in Charlotte Douglas Airport.
I did not get a chance to get to the airport but many onlookers crowded the airport overlook to get a glimpse of the world's largest plane. The world's largest fixed-wing cargo plane, an Antonov An-225 landed at Charlotte-Douglas airport delivers power plant parts from Thailand for repair by Siemens Energy of Charlotte.

Lake Norman, NC region to get it's first Miniature Golf course.
For years my partner and I have said "Why isn't there a Mini golf course in the Lake Norman area?" Having 7 yr old triplet boys I would have to drive into Concord, which is 30 minutes away, to play.
Well, I just got word that our thoughts are finally coming to fruition. A family from Wisconsin who moved to area backk in 2007 felt the area lacked some family entertainment.

If you are traveling to the Huntersville/Lake Norman region of Charlotte exit 25 off of I-77 has everything you need.
It is a great place stay since you are very close to shopping, restaurants and Lake Norman. Of course there are a number of quality hotels that are within a couple of miles from one another.
It gives you many options since all our tastes for hotels are very different. Just ask my wife. It is even hard to get her to stay in a 5 star hotel.

Bryton Development is starting to take shape, but may run into a small "snag". The Town of Huntersville voted this past Monday and I am still waiting on a phone call to see how it turned out. (call or email me for update)
As part of its approval for Bryton, AAC must widen the east side of 115 between the current roadway and the railroad tracks. As I was driving to water my sister-in-laws garden since she is in Florida I noticed that Shea Homes are beginning to build homes again in the Beckett subdivision just off Gilead Rd. It was a sight for sore eyes.
