huntersville: Huntersville North Carolina still showing growth despite downturn - Vermilllion Neighborhood - 04/05/12 07:08 AM
Vermillion Subdivision Huntersville, NC is still growing despite economic downturn. Here is a recent article in the Charlotte Observer by Elisabeth Arriero. Huntersville is booming. Despite a construction slump in many other parts of the country, the town is experiencing strong growth in building permits issued for residential and commercial construction, with no sign the trend will slow anytime soon. Huntersville officials said the number of residential housing permits issued increased 52 percent from 2010 to 2011, to 353 permits issued last year. “To date through February, we’ve had 59 through the first two months of this year,” said Huntersville Principal

Stephens Grove Homes for Sale - Huntersville NC Real Estate I moved into Stephens Grove neighborhood in Huntersville NC over 5 years ago with my wife Suzanne and 3 year old triplet boys ( which are turning 8 next week). After living in Ft Lauderdale, FL for 15 years I was looking to find a home in the country. However, my wife is more of a city girl. So my dilemma was to find that happy median. After searching for a couple of weeks we stumbled across this neighborhood tucked away off this country road. (Stephens Road in Huntersville, NC) We

huntersville: Property Management from Lake Norman to Uptown Charlotte - 07/14/11 12:50 PM
Property Management Lake Norman Region to Uptown Charlotte, NC. Times are tough for homeowners. Sky-high gas prices. Weak job growth. Record foreclosures. The evidence is everywhere, and it's making home ownership more difficult than it has been in years. Even with a faltering real estate market, however, rentals are flourishing, according to Condo.com, a National based Web site that is counting more and more rental properties among its condominium listings. "The credit crisis has made it virtually impossible in some markets to get financed for a mortgage," he says. "Because of that issue in the for-sale market, you're seeing a lot

huntersville: Search Your Property Tax Rate in Charlotte NC - Mecklenburg County - 05/18/11 12:23 PM
Residents living in Mecklenburg County, NC have gone years without new assessments and property taxes. This certainly is not a good time to be raising anyone's taxes but they are coming. I still believe that North Carolina is still a very affordable place to live. I have clients who live in New Jersey and pay close to $8000/year for a 1200 sq ft home. On my home in Huntersville NC which is in Mecklenburg County I pay just over $3000/year. I am very comfortable to be paying that amount for the tremendous schools, parks and other amenities in the north

huntersville: Huntersville, NC plans should include more homes built - Huntersville, NC Real Estate - 09/13/10 01:45 PM
Huntersville, NC plans should include more homes built based on the latest projections.Projected population growth in Huntersville over the next two decades would require more than 9,000 newly built homes within the town's bulging limits, planners predict. Slightly less than half of those homes have already been approved but not yet built in fledgling subdivisions such as Skybrook and Vermillion, as well as Bryton, the mega-development just north of the I-485/N.C. 115 interchange. What has the minds and pencils of Huntersville planners in motion, though, are the needed 4,700 new homes to provide for the anticipated population without a development to call

huntersville: Lake Norman area schools may see some big changes - CMS Schools - 09/11/10 09:09 PM
Lake Norman area schools may see some big changes for 2011. Living in the Lake Norman area and beign a concerned parent I am always keeping a pulse on what is happening with the Charlotte Mecklenburg School system. As of now our boys attend Barnette Elementary School in Huntersville, NC, which we could not be any happier with. However, we could feel the ripple effects of what may occur next year with some of the local elementary school. Here is a recent excerpt from the local paper. Big changes for local schools? Three northern Mecklenburg schools are among those that could

The beauty of living in Charlotte, NC is that you have the ability to enjoy not only the beaches of North Carolina, but also the Blue Ridge mountains. This summer my family took our annual trip to the coast and stayed in beautiful Ocean Isles. It is a great family destination with a variety of rental accommodations to choose from. Last year we stayed in a home just off the beach that has a pool and was walking distance to the ocean. This year we stayed in a townhome with spectacular views of the ocean from our balcony. Ocean Isle Beach is
