Last week,  my husband and I spent some time in North Phoenix...way north.  We came across communities that we have never seen before, truly beautiful desert communities nestled in the mountains.
I have to say, this is my favorite time of year in the desert...the desert is in bloom!

Hundreds of people attend this festival to hear fantasy storytelling, see artists at work and enjoy niche bands. There's a Goblin Market where "fairy items" such as bells, buttons and crystals replace money as accepted tender and a Bad Faerie Masquerade Ball on Saturday night.

I've been wanting to write this blog for the last month or so...time just keeps getting by me.  I know there are alot of individuals out there who know exactly what I mean. 
My family and I took a rainy Sunday afternoon and went to downtown Phoenix, to visit the Children's Museum.  Now I have to tell you since my son started 2nd grade last year, visiting the museum has been talked about alot as a "fun" thing to do.  And trust me this is worth visiting!!!!
