Another Arizona sunset…this is why we live here!!! We have extreme heat for 3-4 months…and the rest of the months are pure heaven! As everyone is getting snow...brrr...yuck... we are getting the most incredible weather and spectacular sunsets! I'm not trying to rub it in...not at all! I soooo miss vacation…the serene, calm atmosphere…life is good. no worries and no schedule! Pier 39…seeing Pier 39, the seals having fun, squawking, playing, jumping and yet fighting…was the coolest to my soon to be 7 yr old. As she puts it ‘momma they are the feistiest, smelliest, loudest animals ever!’ Life is Good… Have a GREAT Wednesday! We are artistic, fun, creative and passionate! Our fall vacation was quite the adventurous one… we pretty much did it all! One of our fast track pit-stops was Armstrong Redwoods State National Reserve, just north of San Francisco and west of Santa Rosa, CA. The Redwoods are absolutely breath-taking!!! Just a brief history of how the Redwoods came to be… The serene, majestic beauty of this Grove is a living reminder of the magnificent primeval redwood forest that covered much of this area before logging operations began during the 19th century. Everyone LOVES time away from home!!! …Vacation!!! Yeah!!! Our kids are in year around school…yeah for us, this is the time of year when we head to Cali and enjoy the wine country, Hwy 1…you name it, we do it! I love Fall break...life is so grand, new and vibrant through my kids eyes, its pretty amazing! :) As walking through Armstrong National Park in California enjoying the Redwoods, we run into this little guy! He's pretty cool, my kids did not know what to think except...Gross! But I gotta tell you, coming from the desert...cool he is! Happy Wednesday!

I absolutely LOVE this time of year...kids are on Fall break, and my husband and I pick the vacation spot!!! Needless to say, the kids had to take a road trip...we love it, and in fact after a day of hanging out in the car, they are coming around! Everyone loves field trips… just a note behind the scene, I am a mom of 2 pretty cool kids and I get to go on field trips! This trip was with my sons 4th grade class…he is now in 5th, anyways, our trip was to the State Capital of Arizona. Well...my sweet daughter was so excited after starting 1st grade knowing she would get her turn in babysitting her class pet. Meet Sparkles...Sparkles was at our house from Friday and then back to school Monday. I have to add looking rather peaked at our home, fell off the perch a couple of times...Needless to say, my huband and I were eccstatic Sparkles did not pass away on our watch! As our summer adventure continued through Mount Rushmore and the Black Hills in Rapid City, South Dakota we spent the afternoon in Custer State Park... where the Buffalo are free to roam. As most of you know, summer is somewhat hard to get through when you have kids and yet, a lot of fun...it's when we take the time to smell the roses! We spent Memorial Day weekend in Williams Arizona. Williams is a quaint little historic town just off the I-40 in Northern Arizona on route 66. Williams reminds me of the Disney movie 'Cars.' :) iit's just that cute! Bearizona is a wildlife park that you drive-thru...we loved it so much, we dubbed it 'Jurassic Park.' Last week, my husband and I spent some time in North Phoenix...way north. We came across communities that we have never seen before, truly beautiful desert communities nestled in the mountains.
