At this time of year, now that the holiday season of shopping has officially begun, it is always fun to go to great places.  Downtown Chicago is a wonderful place to go visit for a shopping spree.  One can get on a train right in downtown Battle Creek, and be in downtown Chicago for as little as $35 using Amtrak.
The downtown area of Chicago has all kinds of shopping wonders for any holiday shopping extremist.  There is also the beautiful architecture to marvel at as well. Here is a photo of the lego store and other buildings that I took … (5 comments)

Battle Creek, Michigan is just a short train ride away from Chicago.  Many people who want to go into the big city from this area take the Amtrak which comes right into downtown.  The cost is roughly around $70 round trip, and it the travel time is just a little under two hours each way.  The train takes you right into downtown Chicago, where you can enjoy shopping, the Navy Pier or catch a Cub's game at Wrigley Field.  The hotels and restaurants in Chicago make for a great way to spend a day or weekend.

chicago: A Shopping Excursion to Chicago from Southwest Michigan - 08/08/10 12:54 AM
Over the years that I have lived in Battle Creek, I have always heard people talk about taking a shopping excursion to Chicago from Southwest Michigan. 
Every year the Kalamazoo Association of Realtors and the Battle Creek Area Association of Realtors charters a bus around the holidays to go for a shopping excursion to Chicago from Southwest Michigan. As a local Realtor, I try to stay connected to what is popular in the community.

chicago: NAR Leadership Summit 2010 in Chicago - 08/05/10 07:38 PM
I have been at the National Association of Realtors (NAR) Leadership Summit 2010 in Chicago the since Wednesday, August 4th.  The NAR Leadership Summit 2010 in Chicago has been not only educational, informative, and inspiring, it has also been quite entertaining! 
We toured the Chicago Art Institute last night when we arrived, and today we have been hearing great speakers preparing the Realtor Associations incoming Presidents for 2011 all day. I understand that approximately 1800 Realtors attended the conference.
