There are three lighthouses in the Ludington Michigan area, and this past Labor Day my wife and I were passing through and decided to stop and take some pictures. There is one that is close to downtown and one can walk to on a pier, or an adjacent pier and take photos. There is another one that is part of a State park that one walks down the beach to, and can go inside and explore.
