Any story can be another story altogether. Many experts feel the U.S. economy has turned the corner due to positive indicators in the housing market. Overall residential construction supposedly jumped 23 percent (annual rate) last quarter, the first gain in nearly four years and the biggest since 1986. However, a separate report showed the sales of new homes unexpectedly tumbled in September, the first drop in over six months. For the first time in 10 months, the median home price in Southern California did not decline. The result of combining record low interest rates and the sharp decline in overall sales have given some real estate "experts" an indication that we may be close to hitting bottom. As I've mentioned in previous reports, no one can predict the bottom until we are on our way up.There are just too many variables, especially with the current administrations illusion on capitalism.
