It’s been a busy November and December up here near Red Feather Lakes:
We had the monstrous wind storm in November and about twenty inches of snow so far.
The Greening of Red Feather weekend brought frigid temperatures and some icy roads so there’s been plowing and sanding by the folks who do those things to keep Red Feather and Livermore residents plus our many visitors moving right along. They are some of my favorite people, I have to say- they do a great job on our roads.

I'm "lichen" Glacier View Meadows, a mountain subdivision in Livermore, CO. and I hope you will like it too!
The other day my husband I went for a walk around Batterson Lake, in Glacier View Meadows Subdivision. I was shooting into the sun, so the lake photo looks like it was much later in the day than it really was.
On our way back home we stopped to look at a gnarly mass of dead wood wrapped around a huge boulder, and then the lichen caught my eye.

April Fool's Day cracked me up!
In reality, our lake was cracking up, and made some very interesting designs as the ice is slowly melting away.
It snowed today! Red Feather Lakes got about 4-5 inches in a short amount of time. Mother Nature likes April Fools Day too!
As it was snowing one of my associates who is sicker-than-a-dog called in for her messages. I told our receptionist that I really needed to speak to her. I asked her if she would take me up to a listing she had and show me around the property.
"Today?" she croaked.

It was a long winter. I heard you spent way too much time with your snow shovel last season! Many Coloradoans are shoveling today after the last Spring storm dumped several inches of new snow upon us!

It's a spectacular mountain day in Glacier View Meadows!
It's 78 degrees today, with the exception of a few small patches of snow in some areas, there are tiny signs up Spring popping up all over the hillside.
Here are a few signs of Spring from my walk today.
(There was even a Bee on one of the tiny flowers)
These little pink flowers would be easy to miss.
It looks like soon the Honeysuckle will be in Bloom
and the Mountain Mahogany is starting to bud
