One of the number 1 New Year Resolutions, next to losing weight, is getting fit. Walking is great way to do this. Lisa VonBargen, my friend in Estes Park, has a great post today about a wonderful place to take a walk in Colorado.

On a chilly day last October, I stopped by Erie Lake in search of a mama moose and her twins but all I saw were ducks.
After reading a great article the other day about "getting your ducks in a row", I wanted to use that line together with my duck photos from Erie Lake. The more I wrote about "getting your ducks in row to buy a Colorado Mountain Cabin" the sillier "get your ducks in a row" started to sound!
Getting your ducks in row means getting organized, but where did the saying come from?

OK, from time to time I've written about septic systems. Not that I know A LOT about septic systems, or even like them. Heck, to tell you the truth, I spend as little time as possible thinking about them! Still they have to be addressed when purchasing a house with one. Well, you'll be glad to know this is not another post about septic systems but today I got a call from a town listing agent.

Once in awhile - Ok more than a few times, people rush into the office looking for information on Real Estate in our area. They want to know what's for sale, and do we have maps. Well, of course we do! The problem I'm running into is that the other half of their family is waiting in the car, the dog's in the car, or they have to be somewhere else in the next 2 minutes, and they really don't have the time to sit down with me and visit about the area.

I've been watching Annie Duke on the celebrity Apprentice. Annie is a World Champion Poker Player; I love to watch her play. Smart, Sassy and nerves of steel - Annie.
Except for the infrequent trips to Las Vegas, I seldom play poker anymore. We used to have a group of friends that would play a friendly game every now and then, and I can tell you, where money is involved ---there is really no such thing as a friendly game!
