The "Nigerian Scam" has migrated to rentals. Unsuspecting online rental searchers might come across an attractive listing at a very low price posted on a popular classified "list" site. So, they ask for information. They get a variation on this reply: (copied from an actual inquiry that a client forwarded to me BEFORE they sent any money).Hello, name, Thanks for your interest and inquiries about my house.Yes the house is still available for rent and we are looking for a responsible person/family to occupy and maintain the house now that we are not around.
