The answer to this should be very simple but actually there is no universal response.  Is there the morality involved at all? The mortgage industry is doing everything it can to stop this, including telling homeowners that they have a "moral obligation" to re-pay their mortgage.

 HomePath loan program -  Good or Bad? I do not have complete answer to that but be warned. It is full of surprises new program launched by Fannie Mae. It is being advertised as one, that:
does not require an appraisal, low down payment , little higher interest rate, no Mortgage Insurance, available to both owner occupiers and investors, available  HomePath Renovation Mortgage.   It does not mention that Buyer needs to have high credit score to get the loan at  decent interest rate.
