My 1st Active Rain Lead! - 01/13/10 05:33 PM
My 1st Active Rain lead came this afternoon! It was an agent from Georgia looking for help finding a rental home. I've been an AR member for a few years but only recently became active. The agent is also a fellow AR member!
Update on this - she was able to lease a home directly from a homeowner that she knows... so it didn't pan out... but I look forward to future leads from AR!

There are many HUD homes available in Fort Worth. HUD homes are FHA foreclosures and are typically offered below market value. Many times, these homes require repairs. However, some are in great shape. It truly varies from one HUD home to the next.
HUD homes in Fort Worth can be financed with most mortgage companies. If they require appliances or repairs, this can sometimes be included in your mortgage as long as your lender with allow for it. They even have a teacher program that allows buyers to get into homes for little to no money down!

Do Not Call List - Tips Anyone? - 01/06/10 11:44 AM
I'd like to do some prospecting for expired listings, but it seems like everyone whose number I check is on the do not call list. I was wondering what other agents out there do, or have you given up all together on cold calling expireds? Any input would be appreciated.

January = The Most Depressing Month of The Year - 01/05/10 09:57 AM
I recently read online that January is the most depressing month of the year. Not only is it dark outside longer, but the excitement of the holidays is over. Luckily, I'm not experiencing any depression, but I've found it to be more difficult waking up in the mornings, especially after a few holiday pounds that I've packed on, lol. Let's keep our spirits up and have a great 2010!
