Pay it forward. You will get it back! - 05/23/08 09:48 AM
My friend, Richard Weisser, suggested I write a post about this subject. At the risk of tooting my own horn I will. I started in the real estate business as a loan processor, became a loan officer, then an appraiser's apprentice, and finally obtained my Texas Real Estate Salesperson's License. I wanted to be a Realtor all along so I went about it the ‘hard' way. In my experience prior to becoming a Realtor I started helping bail homeowners out of foreclosure. I negotiated a forbearance package, changed the terms of the loan, found an investor, and/or a listing agent specializing in (14 comments)
The Lakeview Middle School Leopard Choirs. - 05/21/08 08:11 AM
I attended my daughter's last choir concert at Lakeview Middle School yesterday. It was called "Lakeview Live! A Showcase of Broadway Musicals." It was a bitter sweet occasion for me because my youngest child is going to high school next year and it is likely the last time I will be inside Lakeview Middle School. Calling on Developers, Builders, or anyone with the answers. - 05/18/08 09:02 AM
At the risk of sounding like a complete idiot I have a question- From conception to first spec how does a neighborhood get built? I have only worked with builders reps after the development started. I need to know more about the whole process. I haven't taken any class that covered this. If there is one available on line please let me know. (8 comments)
"Open the door then get the heck out of the way!" - 05/07/08 09:01 PM
"Open the door then get out of the way." I was a member of a church in Irving Texas at the young age of 23. I met a very bitter paraplegic man in bible study. We eventually became friends and he taught me a valuable lesson and offered insight to my character. One evening the bible class was meeting at a home outside of church. I saw my friend and his wife pulling up in front of the house with their child. I ran to open the door to let him in. The doorway wasn't wide enough to fit him and me (16 comments)
I am Failing - 05/07/08 11:19 AM
"Today I will Fail" I will fail at letting negative comments get to me.I will fail at telling my daughter she is beautiful before I tell her she is smart.I will fail to bring up past arguments with my husband.I will fail to not return every single voice mail.I will fail to think about the weight I have gained over the past ten years.I will fail to focus on negative media regarding the real estate market.I will fail to give a loan officer a ‘stern talking to' and offer to help instead.I will fail at doing business as usual and come (12 comments)
