IT'S FINALLY RAINING!
Yes, that's water on my deck and I think it is falling from the sky.....not sure though since it seems that it has been months since it has rained in our neck of the woods.  It makes you wonder how the trees and plant life survives. You see I live in an area that the professionals are calling an "extreme drought area" this year.

The following counties in Virginia have seen a year over year increase in sales for the month of August:
Frederick County: 23%
Shenandoah County:  16%
Warren County:  25%
Winchester City saw a 44% decrease for the month of August in sales compared to August 2009.

I have been traveling through Smoke Hole and Seneca Rocks for over 23 years now.  This is the route I take home when going to visit family and friends.  It never ceases to amaze me what a beautiful area this really is.

As I was pecking away on my laptop today with the sun shining brightly through the window, I couldn't help but notice how dirty my laptop screen was.  It was full of smears and streaks and goodness knows what else. Then I started thinking about the keys that seem to be constantly under my fingertips these days.
