OK, I admit it - I spent a total of EIGHT hours on ActiveRain today!  The relatives have all gone back home, the house is a MESS, my clients are all taken care of....so what did I do with my free time?  Work on my business plan?  Put together a nice year-end market report for my sphere/client/market area?  Work a few leads?  Get outside and take good photos of some great Charlotte, NC neighborhoods?  Nooooooooo!

Charlotte, NC hosted the 2009 Meineke Car Care Bowl, featuring the University of North Carolina Tarheels against the University of Pittsburgh Panthers.  Pitt won the close game, 19 - 17.  Here are some photos from downtown Charlotte, NC, and the Bowl game.  OK, so I'm one-sided - I went to UNC!!!

December 16, 2009 was a great day for hopeful economic news for Charlotte, NC!  Bank of America named Brian Moynihan its new CEO, who immediately affirmed that the nation's largest bank would remain headquartered in Charlotte, NC, and that he would keep his office here.  The Charlotte Chamber of Commerce and other Charlotte leaders immediately hailed the news and applaude B of A's renewed commitment to Charlotte.  After the city lost Wachovia's headquarters in 2008's financial meltdown, the news that Bank of America would remain a Charlotte institution is great news for our local economy, and removes the uncertainty and speculation … (2 comments)

I had a EUREKA moment yesterday when shopping at Norstrom at Southpark Mall in Charlotte, NC - I thought "What if ALL Realtors Provided Nordstrom-level customer service to ALL of their clients?"  Now THAT would quickly move us real estate agents up higher in customer approval ratings!
Although I always strive to provide the best customer service as a listing agent and a buyer agent, the Nordstrom model hardly has a peer, IMHO.  If you've ever shopped at Nordstrom, I would bet that you've experienced a "Nordstrom moment."  Here's what happened to me recently:
