"Top Ten" list for best cities to go from buying to renting! 

Charlotte, NC is a wonderful city with a steady economy, affordable homes, a fabulous temperate climate, and close proximity to either the NC beaches or NC mountains!
The Forbes.com story analyzed the "premium to buy," meaning the difference to go from renting to buying a home.  Forbes also relied on data from the Case/Shiller home price index to select cities which have a positive 5-year outlook for home appreciation.

I feel VERY strongly about our Realtor Code of Ethics.  Anyone looking to buyer or sell real estate in Charlotte, NC should discuss the Realtor Code of Ethics when hiring a Realtor to represent their interests.  Here is a great blog post by Claudette Millette, Broker, Owner or The Buyer's Counsel in Ashland, Massachusetts.

At the end of 2009, the Real Estate Market in Charlotte, NC rebounded slightly to end the year with an average sales price of $206,542 for single family residential (SFR) homes.  This is a 9.1% drop from the $227,217 average sales price in 2008.  22,112  residential homes were sold in the Charlotte real estate market in 2009, a decrease of 17.8% # of sales over 2008.
