If You Want To Get It Sold - Drop the Price! - 07/30/11 02:23 PM
In today's real estate market in Charlotte, NC, homes for sale must be PRICED RIGHT in order to sell. This blog post by Leah Stern of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Rockland County, NY, makes a very strong case for dropping the price if your home isn't selling. Via Lora "Leah" Stern, Realtor Suffern, Rockland County NY (Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage): If You Want To Get It Sold - Drop the Price! Has your home been languishing on the market, without any offers or even showings? Well that's a clear indication that you just might be overpriced. In this current market (4 comments)
My 10 Seconds of Fame on NBC News - Using QR Codes in Real Estate! - 07/29/11 07:28 PM
My 10 Seconds of Fame on NBC News - Using QR Codes in Real Estate Marketing What a day I had yesterday! My broker-in-charge, Laurie Knudsen, is the current president of the Charlotte Regional Realtors Association. She was contacted by NBC News, who was looking to interview a Charlotte Realtor who uses QR codes in his/her marketing. I jumped on it - the only catch was, they wanted to interview me that afternoon! Butterflies began roiling in my stomach, but I drove out to NBC Universal, and producer Mike Fomil immediately put me at ease. He explained that NBC was doing (42 comments)
South Charlotte NC Homes for Sale near Arboretum - 07/21/11 11:23 AM
South Charlotte NC Homes for Sale near Arboretum One of the most popular areas to buy a South Charlotte NC home for sale is near the Arboretum Shopping Center, an area conveniently located at the intersection of Pineville-Matthews RD and Providence RD. Many families choose the South Charlotte NC Arboretum area because of its fine neighborhoods with beautiful homes, stellar schools, and convenient location close to the Arboretum Shopping Center. The Arboretum is the hub for residential communities in South Charlotte, as well as retail, restaurants, medical and insurance offices, and major banks. Check out my video about the Arboretum Shopping Center:

Biggest Dog I've Ever Seen! - 07/13/11 08:51 PM
Biggest dog I've ever seen! I'm tried to be wordless here, but this photo just defies "wordlessness!" I just have to rave about this dog named "Duke," who belongs to a wonderful client of mine, Jeff from Minneapolis! Jeff closed on his new home in Charlotte in May, and my husband and I recently met Jeff and Diane - and Duke - at Stonecrest to enjoy some local music. We were bombarded by passersby who shared my amazement at this huge canine creature. Virtually every person who passed our table asked the same questions: How much does he weigh? 210 pounds (14 comments)
Why You Should Price Your Charlotte Home Correctly - Right from the Start! - 07/07/11 04:44 PM
Why you should price your Charlotte home correctly - right from the start! I recently read a very astute blog post from J. Philip Faranda, broker and owner of J. Philip Real Estate in Briarcliff Manor, NY. He produced very compelling statistics from his MLS confirming that sellers receive less of their asking price the longer their home sits on the market. Phil's statistics show that in most cases, those sellers who priced their homes correctly from the start sold their homes quicker, and for more money! Hmmmmm.... Phil's blog post confirmed what we Charlotte Realtors see everyday in our local (4 comments)

Purchasing a short sale can be a daunting process, but my buyers hung in there with me and patiently waited (2 comments)

Providence High School in Charlotte NC Makes Newsweek's Best American High Schools list in 2011! Congratulations to Providence High School in Charlotte, NC for ranking 186th on Newsweeks Best American High Schools list in 2011!
