The Westfield Indiana real estate market seems to be echoing the Indianapolis real estate market as a whole, but is fairing a little better than most other areas.  The number of homes sold is down very slightly while the average sales price is down over the same time last year. 
September 2007 had 45 homes close in Westfield with an average sales price of $208,332.  The average home in September 2007 was on the market for 71 days and received 97% of the asking price. The same time last year, 47 homes closed with an average selling price of $217,594.  … (0 comments)

The Fishers real estate market is reporting relatively the same numbers as the rest of Indianapolis; a decrease in the amount of homes sold and a very slight decrease in the average sold price. 
In September 2007, 110 homes sold on the Fishers real estate market with an average selling price of $210,941.  In September 2006, 128 Fishers homes sold with an average selling price of $205,293.  This represents a 14% decline in the number of homes sold and 1% decrease in the average sales price over 2006.  The average price per square foot was $96 in 2007 and $97 … (0 comments)

Battle for Geist Tax Dollars Continues - 10/24/07 11:47 AM
Well, the battle over the coveted Geist lakefront home’s tax dollars continues to unfold.  Recently Geist residents opposed to the forced annexation of Fishers filed a petition to incorporate into two new towns, East and West Geist.  They believe this will stop, inhibit, or at least slow down the process of annexation. 
This past week the town of Fishers as a Hamilton county judge whether County Commissioners can create the two new Geist towns.  Fishers does not want that to happen and would rather annex the area first.  The town has offered the residents some concessions from tax breaks to … (1 comments)

The newest outdoor shopping mall in the region has just opened the doors of its first and largest tenant.  J.C. Plan Unvieled to Ease I-69 Traffic - 10/21/07 07:47 AM
The Indiana Department of Transportation released some details about a proposed $550 million project aimed at easing traffic along the I-69 I-465 interchange.  According to officials, the current problem is not the volume of traffic, rather the inefficient way it is handled.  Hence, the project will be designed to route traffic more efficiently that it currently does.  Well, dah!  If you have ever crawled onto I-69 from I-465 any rush hour, you couldn’t possibly dream of a more inefficient way to handle these overloaded interchanges.
