I was listening to a talk show recently and they discussed how some MLS systems around the Country are trying to keep the info they have SECRET to hide facts and protect commissions and income.
Nothing could be further from the truth!
I firmly believe the American free market system is alive and well and lives firmly in national real estate markets!

Venture On! Katy 5K Fun Run at Cinco Ranch Jr High School - 05/28/08 02:37 PM
On Saturday, May 31, 2008 the Venture On! 5K run will kick off at 7:30am at Cinco Ranch Jr High School located near the corner of The Grand parkway and Cinco Ranch Blvd (23420 Cinco Ranch BoulevardKaty, TX 77494).
The entrance fee for the 5k is $25, for the 1M walk it is $20, and for the 1M family walk it is $30.
The race will be chip timed for the 5k. The Top 2 finishers in each age bracket will receive awards. Each child who participates receives a medal!

We get this question from new agents just starting in the business...as well as long time agents who realize this is the future and they better jump on the bus!

It is that special time of year again in Katy Texas...the subdivision pools all open up for the Memorial Day weekend. Almost every one of the wonderful subdivision pools here in Katy employ at least one lifeguard who is CPR certified. Even with these great precautions please keep an eye on young children. Lets make this a happy and healthy Memorial Day...and take some time to remember those who have given their lives so we can use all the wonderful amenities we have in this great country!

It is that time of year in Katy Texas that we need to remind everyone that Alligators do exist...and you need to watch out for them. The Texas Dept. of Fish and Wildlife has let hikers, hunters, fishermen, and golfers to keep alert while in the Katy and Houston area. They advise you to carry pepper spray in case you have a close encounter with an alligator. Should Agents Nationwide be Required to Disclose Full or Limited Service? - 05/19/08 02:14 PM
This is quite an issue that keeps coming up on listing appointments. We talk to clients who do not understand the differences between agents and agencies.
First: disclosure...I think a each type of agency has its place, full service, limited service, and Entry Only....even FSBO has its place!!!!
Second: The only real answer is to have minimum requirements for each...thus an limited service agent could not claim to be full service.
Here are the requirements I would suggest for each.
FSBO - For sale buy owner with no entry into MLS. The MLS input changes this from being a true FSBO … (3 comments)

OK this might not be a big deal to you if you are not a Mets fan or into the inter-league MLB season....but if you are from NY (even though we live in Texas we are New Yorkers at heart) this is always a big series...and a great time to be in the big city. The Mets won round one behind their new pitching ace Johann Santana. The mets collected 13 hits and had enough pitching today to stop the Yankee attack. To those out in AR land who either live in South Florida or are Florida Marlins fans your team is having a huge start and a great year so far. I was watching CNN, MSNBC, NBC, and Fox news today...if you watch they are all saying the race is over...Barak Obama has won. I guess my issue with this is that we have heard that before...many times. I must admit it looks like the end has come...but I can not blame Hillary for continuing the fight...it ain't over till its over! as Yogi Berra once said.
What happens if another issue for Obama shows up between now and then? Another Rev. Wright or something like that...Democrats will be screaming for her to get back in.

TIVO is a Busy Realtors Best Friend! - 05/07/08 10:36 AM
We have been quite busy of late...lots of buyers and lots of sellers. Always the same issues...the buyers are nervous about the market...the sellers do not think the home they have lived in the past five years has a single thing wrong with it (after all they did an inspection five years ago and it was perfect)!
The days seem to go by very quickly and it is already 6pm...time for dinner, then over to the kids swim lessons, then time for a bath....maybe a little family time...then collapse at about 10pm!

Baseball American League East Turned Upside Down! - 05/02/08 02:12 PM
I must confess I am not a big fan of the teams in the American League East....but it is always fun to watch the battle for the division...between the Red sox and Yankees. The Blue Jays always seem to be a solid team that ends up a distant third.
Not this year...the Tampa Bay Rays and the Baltimore Oriels are doing quite well indeed! The Orioles I think will fade...but I am starting to become a believer in the Rays. maybe not this year...but in years to come. Good hitting, good young pitching, and good gloves.
