Pricing your Home properly to sell OR not to sell - 06/28/12 06:24 AM
Selling your home in today's market takes proper pricing. When you interview Realtors(R) for the job of marketing your home and representing you in the sale there are many questions that need to be answered. The main question is "how much is my home worth?" When a Realtor(R) comes into your home for your sales consultation they have done research on your neighborhood and have knowledge of what homes sold for and what their price was while on the market. They will also study the homes that did not sell and their pricing. This information is Fact. Solid statistical information to (2 comments)
Debbie Drowner! - 06/27/12 07:52 AM
Tropical storm Debbie hit the Tampa bay area on Sunday. We did get to experience a taste of what she had in store for us with storm bands starting to reach us on Thursday. Debbie brought us 5 days of rain and 3 days of heavy wind to join in the rain. The damage left in the wake of Debbie is devistating and the flood waters have not yet fully receeded.
As the clean up begins and the residents begin to put the pieces of their homes and lives back together, my heart goes out to the families who (3 comments)
History of New Port Richey: Expansion - 06/22/12 08:06 AM
New Port Richey, Florida became a community in the early 1900's. There are reports that in 1915 New Port Richey Florida had 100 residents. In the summer or 1914 there is a news paper artilce that discribes the area as "old port richey" and "new port richey".
Reports that I have found suggest that there was a Cattle Farm which seperated what was then referred to as New Port Richey and Old Port Richey. The residents would travel through the farm to get from one part of the city to the other. In 1914 there was a cattle escape because (0 comments)
New Port Richey History Series: The Sass Hotel - 06/14/12 05:24 AM
New Port Richey Florida was originally called "Port Richey". There was a recorded statement of a new article where the are was referred to "Port Richey and New Port Richey". I am still digging to find out how the originally settled area became "New Port Richey" when the newer area of that time is now called Port Richey. Around the month of February 1912 The Sass Hotel opened in New Port Richey. The hotel had 10-12 bedrooms, a dining room and even a garage area for the guests. The hotel owners wanted to offer a nice place to stay for people coming to the (0 comments)
New Port Richey History Series: The Beginning - 06/13/12 06:18 AM
I moved to the New Port Richey, Florida area when I was 22 years old. I was drawn to the area because of the similarities between New Port Richey and where I came from on Long Island, NY. New Port Richey is right on the Gulf of Mexico and the "Cottee River" runs through the city and opens up into the Gulf. With plenty of waterfront dining, boating and parks to enjoy I just fell in love. One walk along the river near Sims Park in New Port Richey and you will fall in love.
I decided to write a series on the History (0 comments)
Virtual Tours are an Important Marketing Tool for Sellers and Agents - 06/01/12 10:39 AM
I was talking with an associate who had a cute home listed for sale for a homeowner. I asked if they had created a virtual tour since the photos were so beautiful. The agents said "no, it is too small for a virtual tour". That can be a valid point if you are paying an outside company to do your tours. With the technology readily available and at our finger tips you can create a free virtual tour that is customized for the home and of a high quality. Both windows and mac computers have movie editing software that allow you (3 comments)
