Sutter county has reports of putting out a new map and re-zoning the area that will be considered by FEMA to now require mandatory flood insurance. Some say it will likely just be South Yuba City, Sutter County. And some say it will be all of Sutter county. Who knows but why take a chance..... read on. Sutter county residents should be buying up their flood insurance now -vs- later If the zoning changes in their area and they are caught with out flood insurance the rates are likely to be too high for most to afford.
