One of my daughters will have a booth there tomorrow. If my schedule permits I will zip in. Right now it's a little questionable as to whether I can make it. I think her dad is planning to go. I should suggest he go at the end of the day so he can help her carry her stuff.....
This is a REBLOG. It is written by

the refreshed home White Plains NY
I came across this one this morning and thought it was well written. The second paragraph is very true. And since this is a series, I will plan to check on Marie's blog next week to see what I can learn! And I encourage you to do the same!
Have a great week! Via Marie Graham Home Stager (the refreshed home White Plains NY):

SO many words in our world! It's easy to not hear them all, or just get in the habit of using the same ones.
Strong communication is one of the things that will get us noticed and understood in this world, one of the reasons for this series.
Every week, the refreshed home looks at a regular word we may take for granted, and gives it a moment in the limelight. This Word Of The Week is IMPROVISE.
From the Latin improvisus, meaning literally unseen, and the Italian improvvsio, meaning sudden, to be able to IMPROVISE is really quite a skill.
Unlike PLAN B, IMPROVISE is not a back-up.
It's UNPLANNED, PRO-ACTIVE, and demonstrates LEADERSHIP. It arrives and takes action: ASSESSING, CREATING, DOING, and then GETTING ON WITH THINGS.
IMPROVISE is CLEVER and FLEXIBLE, and does not lose sight of the task at hand.

It is not perfection, but always goes for the BEST POSSIBLE RESULTS under the circumstances.
IMPROVISE's ditzy, less hands-on distant cousin is WINGING-IT.
IMPROVISE is NOT AT ALL PASSIVE, and much more VESTED IN THE RESULTS.
Because modern life is what it is, the unexpected happens to us all. Don't "make do"-be sure to take full credit for IMPROVISING!!

Happy Super Bowl!
It certainly was a great game this year.
Went to our son and daughter-in-laws like we usually do to watch the game and enjoy some snacks. It's always a joy to see the two grandbabies! And they had a friend there with the tiniest cutest little baby boy you ever saw!
Yes, I saw that great catch in the second quarter.
I missed the beginning of Century21's commercial: Faster - Bolder ....... guess I missed the end too!
I didn't win or lose any money this year.
Both my son and ex-maybe-in-law were rooting for the Giants!
Favorite commercial - DORITOS
Hope you enjoyed the game !

It really is winter here in Beaverton MI.
Even though I think we have had less snow than normal and higher than usual temperatures.
Some days are white and grey all day, like Monday of this week was.
Other days are sunny and I saw a couple of flocks of geese fly over the office today.
They were heading North East. They must have decided to stay here for the winter!
Any way, whether it's warm or cold for you
Happy Ground Hogs Day!

Enjoy your time off. A REBLOG. Written by

Very well written. Great ideas and points are made.
While it is important to enjoy everyday, it is especially important to enjoy some "time off"! It will refresh and bring a new energy for you to channel towards the most important tasks in being successful in whatever you do.
Via Joni Staples, CRS ♥ Broker Associate (936) 650-9017 (Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate - Anderson Properties):
Top 10 Things to do to Enjoy Your Time Off.
10. Recognize that just because you are enjoying time off, does not mean that you are abandoning your responsibilities. If an emergency comes up, you can still take care of it -- or better yet -- delegate it to someone who can. Even doctors take time off. They have a trusted colleague who is on call for them.
9. Prepare for your time off by tying up all loose ends and leaving detailed information for your trusted colleague who will be taking care of things for you while you are away.
8. If you are taking multiple days off, prepare your clients by letting them in on the vacation plans. They will be excited for you once you show them how you have tied up all of the lose ends, and provided them with the same detailed list of information that you have given the trusted colleague. This shows them how important they are to you and assures them that your colleague is prepared to help them at any given time.
7. Inform friends, family, and clients to contact your trusted colleague in case of emergency. Assure them that your trusted colleague is the FASTEST way to contact you in case of an emergency.
6. Know the difference between an emergency and a concern. The scheduled closing for today is not going to close because you, the listing agent who is in North Carolina on vacation, did not sign the last page of the sales contract. THAT is an emergency! Docusign it to me and I can sign it on my cell phone! 5. Schedule “needs and wants” for when you return. Just because your seller has changed the color of the hand towel in the half bath, DOES NOT MEAN that you have to leave the spa in the middle of your massage to go and take a new picture of the “remodeled” half bath. WHY were you answering your phone during the massage in the first place?! Hello!!
4. Get over your fear that someone might think less of you for taking time off. The opposite could be true. People may wonder why you can not manage your time well enough to take even a day off. If you can’t manage your own time, how will you manage the time it will take to find someone a home or to get one sold? OR BOTH! (Oh my!)
3. If you will be away for multiple days and will only be checking emails from your trusted colleague, set up an auto response for your email account(s) explaining that you will be away from email until a specific date and that, if it is an emergency, the fastest way to contact you would be to call (you guessed it) your trusted colleague.
2. Get off of the pedestal. Recognize that you are not more important than, attorneys, bakers, CPA’s, dishwashers, ditch diggers, doctors, firefighters, golf pros, nurses, pilots, police officers, professors, WalMart greeters, xylophone players, zoo keepers, or any other person. Every profession allows for time off.
1. Be like Nike and JUST DO IT!
WHY?
Because YOU CAN!
You are blessed!

Buyers really do need a private showing. And while it is true, the seller does know much more about the property and home than anyone else, if the buyer is not truly interested the valuable information shared is irrelevant. Even as an agent there are times to back off a little giving the buyers a chance to visualize and picture themselves in the home...... It all starts with a dream.... a vision.... Right! Via Anna 'Banana' Kruchten - Phoenix Short Sale Broker,CRS 602-380-4886 (Phoenix Property Shoppe):
Home Sellers Take A Walk!
Selling your home is a big deal. There are lots of things to do to get a home ready to be on the market: de-cluttering, cleaning, fixing or replacing worn out appliances or carpets, making sure all the electrical and plumbing is in excellent order....plus a host of other chores. There is one thing that many home sellers forget.....taking a walk while the home is being shown.
Do you understand why allowing the potential buyers ' private viewing time' is important? I imagine your agent has explained this to you, right? No? Really? Well... here you go, let me share a story with you why you might want to consider always giving your potential buyers time to view your home - without you hanging around watching their every move!
Wonderful clients of mine have been looking for a home these past few months. Before the holidays they did find a home that had all the amenities they wanted and were seriously considering making an offer. But...they didn't even get a chance to 'really see the home' because the owner just wouldn't get out of the way. Seriously, he kept following us around even after I thanked him and mentioned that I'd find him if we had questions. No he didn't take the hint! Then his agent showed up, contract in hand and sat down - in front of my buyers and myself and started going through the contract.
Now I've been in business a long time and I can honestly say I've never seen an agent and a seller act in such a manner. What were they thinking? I have no idea; I just know it was not the best strategy - by a long shot.
My clients left that crazy experience behind them and are now ready to find their new home. Yesterday I set up four appointments with at least a 6 hour showing notice to the sellers. Low and behold one of the homes they were interested in was another one of the above agent’s listings. Oh great! I could only this showing would go better and the other one was just a fluke.
As we approached the home the seller was in the garage, door open, waiting for us.... Here we go again, another helpful seller. He wanted us to enter through the garage which is never a good idea. I suggested we start at the front door so the buyers could get a first impression and start their tour of the home from there! He agreed and said he'd unlock the door. Ok...maybe then he'd take a walk?
Well so much for having a 'private showing' of this home...
The helpful seller kept popping up again and again. And please understand, he seemed like a really nice guy, just over anxious in trying to 'sell' his home. The home had been beautifully remodeled and it could have sold itself. I asked the seller a few questions to keep him from following the buyers into the kitchen - which is a very important area for them....but that didn't work either. By that point the buyers kept looking at me...and nodding it was time to get out of there. I thanked the seller and we were off to the next home.
The rest of the showings we were left alone. thankfully! The buyers did find another home they both liked and are writing an offer on it today. They really did like the other home but just didn't get a chance to look around and have time to 'make it their own' without the seller overpowering every moment. If the seller had just gone for a walk he most likely would be receiving an offer today.
The buyers had several gorgeous homes to choose from, all with similar amenities and priced in the same range. Had this not been the case and the overpowering sellers home was the only option, the end of this story would have looked different. As it is the buyers are happy with their choice and all is well for them. Not so much for the over anxious seller....I certainly hope next time he simply takes a walk.
