It really is winter here in Beaverton MI.
Even though I think we have had less snow than normal and higher than usual temperatures.
Some days are white and grey all day, like Monday of this week was.
Other days are sunny and I saw a couple of flocks of geese fly over the office today.
They were heading North East. They must have decided to stay here for the winter!

Worth consideration ...online grassroots democracy. The 26th amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds) took only 3 months & 8 days to be ratified! Why? Simple! The people demanded it. That was in 1971...before computers, before e-mail, before cell phones, etc. Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took 1 year or less to become the law of the land...all because of public pressure. A first snow storm of the season takes out the power for hundreds or maybe thousands of area residents on Sunday December 12, 2010.
Ours was only out for six or eight hours. Long enough to be really happy when it came back on even though we did have a generator going for a while, it's still worrysome and chilly and limits normal home activities (like laundry!)

I know, I should be thinking of Christmas, but fortunately, I have clients that are interested in viewing homes the beginning of the week, so I'm working on Mondays scheduling. I will be meeting with clients from a nearby city in the morning and a couple from out of state in the afternoon. They are both clients that I encountered over a year ago, and each couple will look at two homes.
