I am thankful for compliments!
Compliments can brighten your day, especially when unexpected. Two of my most memorable complimenets come from my children. Once a long time ago, when my son was about four, I was getting ready to leave for a party all dressed up in red dress. He looked at me and exclaimed "Mommy, you're beautiful"! And earlier this year, as I was off to the office on a Sunday morning, my daughter exclaimed "You look like a porcelain doll"! These unexpected compliments made my day! Day Nine of My 30 Days of Thanks
I am thankful for my car.
The transmission went out in my car in June. Just picked it up from the repair shop and filled it up with gas. (WOW! Forgot how much that cost!) After approximately five months of driving numerous vehicles, our little Mazda pickup, my daughter's car, the jeep (only once and never again-that one made me cry), my son's Ford pick up truck ....

According to the Clare Gladwin MLS, there are presently 63 single family homes for sale on Wixom Lake. This is using a search criteria of the following:
Single family home, Wixom Lake, Waterfront = Yes
To pick up the lake access homes, Waterfront = No
It is important to select Wixom Lake (opposed to Beaverton) for two reasons, one is to pick up the Wixom Lake listings in Hope (Midland County) and to avoid picking up the Ross Lake listings in Beaverton.

wixom lake: Tobacco River Side - Where the Fish Are - Wixom Lake - Beaverton MI - 06/02/10 02:09 PM
 As I ascended down the stairs, camera in hand, pausing for a moment here and there to snap a picture, I hear splashing in the lake.
I look around and I see fish, BIG FISH, jumping out of the water. Here, there and every where! I must have a picture.
By the time I could see a fish jump out of the water and press the button to take the picture, the fish is long gone....
So I just took picture after picture, fortunately, my camera batteries went dead, reminding me that I was on my way to the office!
