greenville sc: Five Smart Reasons to Buy a Home Now - 08/02/10 07:39 AM
Finally, the media is joining in with what has been happening in the Greater Greenville market!  I received the following through an email from Lowe's (I like their real estate keep in touch program by the way).  In the Greenville SC Metro Area these things have been true the whole recession.  We have had a small dip in sales but overall we are strong and houses are moving. Interest Rates are PHENOMENAL, homes are in good shape and loan programs are still available to purchase (depending on the area we still have 100% financing). Just as a point of reference if … (2 comments)

greenville sc: Jobs are Growing In the Greenville Metro Area BUT... - 10/16/08 05:21 PM
What about BMW?  A birdie told me that as of December 19th, all the temps at BMW will be dismissed of their positions.  True or not?  IDK for sure, but it sounds reasonable.  Car sales are down across the board, financing is harder for them and BMW is laying out big bucks to add on a new assembly line.
Our market is still great! Data from the S.C. Employment Security Commission show from August-to-September job statistics, with cities, change in jobs and latest number of jobs:  Greenville: +1,900 (+0.6%); 324,200.
Manufacturers' News city data shows: Greenville: 26,736 jobs, up 5%.

Today was 60-62 degrees. Cooler than usual yes but who cares.  We got rain!
My son had a field trip today and we were in the rain most of the day.  We went to the Roper Mountain Science Center, learned about weather (how ironic) and went … (2 comments)

greenville sc: The Upstate is GREAT!! Greenville SC Metro Area - 09/12/08 10:52 AM
The Upstate is GREAT!!
WOW the Upstate of SC is a Great Place to live and work!  New home sales are stong, resales are gaining equity eventhough they are selling a little bit slower.  Most people come here and think we are the same as the rest of the nation...NOT.  We have a unique market, strong and vibrant, neutral - not a buyer's market or seller's market, equity growth and lots of people still moving in buying.  THANKS to the people of the Greenville Metro area that had the forsight to bring big business here and change this from an industrial … (0 comments)
