Yesterday, I posted photos of the damage from the recent windstorms in Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley.  Today, the wind has calmed and the sky is beautiful.  Yes, there is still power outages in some cities, schools are closed and there are logs of wood chippers noisily at work.

Yes, I Know It's Not Kansas -- But It Was A Windy Night in Pasadena CA and the San Gabriel Valley
I am well aware that to the outside world, Californians are often accussed of being somewhat wimpy when it comes to difficult weather situations.   Well, we had some pretty wild winds overnight in the Pasadena, California area and throughout the foothills of the San Gabriel Valley.  Some reports stated the winds were up to 100 miles per hour.   Others have said nothing like this has occurred in over fifty years.   Many said they couldn't sleep.   Animals … (17 comments)
