According to the city of Pasadena Department of Transportation, 13 upgraded electric charging stations are now in place in public parking facilities in Old Pasadena and the Playhouse District.   This upgrade is to the new SAE J1772 standard.  This upgrade allows owners of the current generation of electric vehicles to charge while owners park at the following places:
