Our District Councilperson Patrick O’Donnell will hold his monthly Chat-With-Pat.I will be there to video and promise to provide a concise update for those of you who are unable to attend.
Thursday, Dec 2 from 6 to 8 pm at Kettering Elementary School, 550 Silvera Avenue, Long Beach, CA 90803
The West County Connector Project will be overviewed and questions answered by the OCTA public relations division.

My Los Altos Neighbor is more than just a casual bike rider, he is a movie maker too! - 11/11/10 01:02 AM
For years I watched a young gentleman ride his bike down my street never dreaming he was the independent film producer of the documentary "Riding Bikes with the Dutch" that had been making news in Long Beach for the past year. A chance encounter with his wife last week lead me to this realization. I can vouch for Michael Bauch; he rarely goes anywhere in a car and everyday he rides his bike!

Sergeant Shredder Really is Our Los Altos Community Hero! - 11/07/10 08:20 PM
Our first free shredding events was hugely successful and went off without a hitch this Saturday at Stanford Middle School in the Los Altos area due the contribution of many. We started early at 9:45, and it was a good thing we did, because Dan Hartnett the owner/operator of Sergeant Shredder and his assistant, the very entertaining Dan, worked steady until we closed shop at 3:00. By the end of day we had collected over 8,000 lbs of paper which is nearly 4 tons!

Representatives from the OCTA were on hand for Patrick O'Donnell's monthly "Chat with Pat" at the Los Altos Library. The project engineer gave us a detailed account of what we can expect in the Los Altos area starting in January. Sign up for email updates on the project atwww.octa.net.

It is a quiet week so perhaps you can take this time to gathering up your old tax returns and other sensitive documents for the Shredding Event!
Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm FREE Shredding Event at the Stanford Middle School. Sergeant Shredder will securely shred your documents on site and refreshments and drinks will be provided. The recycled paper is sold as a commodity and profits will be given to the Stanford PTA.

While out making my flyer deliveries for my Upcoming Free Shred Event, I took the opportunity to film some of the more creative, inspiring, frightening and just plain fun, Halloween decorations I found on the doorways. Thank you my Los Altos friends for keeping me entertained on my daily walks!
