Q: What are the implications of a Short Sale vs. Foreclosure on my credit score?
A. Following a successful short sale your mortgage will be reported on your credit score as either paid or negotiated, lowering your score as little as 50-100 points  and affecting you for only 12 to 18 months.

What is an REO? "REO" means Real Estate Owned. These are houses which have been foreclosed upon that the bank or mortgage company currently owns.
