USDA Rural Development loans expecting to run out of funds by late next month - 03/11/10 11:15 AM

Several of the areas around Athens, GA have weathered the real estate market slowdown relatively well due to USDA Rural Development loans.
These area include:
Most of Madison County, GA All of Oglethorpe County, GA Parts of Oconee County, GA Most of Barrow County, GA The end of the tax credit incentive and a possible lack of funds as described below, could send the peak summer selling season for these areas around Athens, Georgia into a tailspin.
