We've had a guest by the name of Payton for the past few weeks and tonights our last night with him.  I'm sure he'll visit in the future, but my kids are sad to see him go.  We have two dogs of our own, but that doesn't seem to make it less difficult for them to say goodbye. It all started a week ago as my husband and I sat at a child's birthday party together.  After being married for over a decade and having two children I found out something about my husband that I never knew before.As we sat together at the bowling alley watching the kids have fun, my husband and I discussed his upcoming birthday.  During this conversation I found out that he never had a birthday party.  I had a few birthday parties that I still remember to this day and couldn't believe my husband never got to experience a party just for him.So … (14 comments)

Not so Speechless Sunday: Can you tell by this picture that dogs are NOT allowed on furniture? I'm not sure who broke the rule first, our Pug Ace, Payton the beagle we are puppysitting or if it was a joint effort. Not only are they both on the sofa, but Payton's baby blanket is between them.

FINALLY, after a week of non-stop puppy action I found out Payton does sleep, but not necessarily in his own bed.  Although he only needs about ten minutes to completely recharge his batteries, which will then run for at least 2-4 hours straight.

I LOVE SOCCER! I love coaching it, I love watching it and I love seeing my children excel at it. Practice for the fall soccer season started last month and today was our first game. I was like a child on the first day of school wondering about all the unknowns.
Who will listen?Who won't listen?Who will get tired?Who will run until their little feet can't run anymore?
Although after three weeks of practice I usually know what to expect from children. However I NEVER know what to expect from their parents.
There are parents that cheer their child on.

Well, within minutes of Payton's arrival I quickly realized puppies are much like toddlers, always getting into something and always on the go.
