Better late than never - Spring 2010 in Atlanta! Typically, by the end of February the Dogwoods are blooming and the Bradford Pear trees are gorgeous. This is not the case this year in 2010. We have had a much colder winter than we typically have as well as a huge amount of rain.
So, you can imagine our happiness at seeing some great signs that Spring is about to be SPRUNG!

Considering leasing your executive home out in Atlanta, Buckhead or Sandy Springs, GA? Let's face it, we're not in a great real estate market. Sales units last month for January 2010 were in the same unit range as 10 years ago with just 2200 single family homes closed for all of metro Atlanta. If you are in a financial position to be able to lease, this could be a good option for you.

The Southern Groundhog Prediction: Early Spring 2010! Don't mind me, but I'm an eternal optimist. Yes, one of those happy people from the time they wake up. So, I've decided I'm going to go with our own Southern Groundhog - Gen. Beauregard Lee who lives at the Yellow River Game Ranch in Gwinnett County, a metro Atlanta area. Time for 1099's in Property Management - Jan 2010! There are many tasks that Property Managers handle that are federally required. One of which we just finished is to send 1099- Misc to our current clients whom we property manage homes for in Atlanta, GA.
The 1099-Misc must state the GROSS rents collected on the properties for the owners. The owners in turn can take that information and complete their tax forms using expenses such as repairs, mortgage payments, depreciation and more. (Please consult an Accountant for the latest accounting guidelines and tax rules.)
