sandy springs real estate: OMG, My Mother is BLOGGING or How to Embarass your Children! - 12/16/09 02:35 PM
OMG, my mother is blogging or how to embarrass your children! The other day at dinner, one of our children was asking what I did that day. I responded that I was blogging about Atlanta and Sandy Springs, GA Real Estate. The kids collectively, issued incredulous responses, like I am too old to be blogging. They said, "You are kidding, right, OMG!" What could you blog about? Who would read your blog? Their next concern, was I Tweeting, too? I mean how embarrassing would that be? Now it's almost a joke around here and they ask if I am on my computer

sandy springs real estate: Are you a great neighbor? Following in Mr. Roger's Footsteps! - 12/08/09 10:27 AM
Are you a great neighbor? Following in Mr. Roger's Footsteps! I remember being a little kid and watching the PBS show Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. It seemed like a great place to be when I was young and had a bit more of a creative imagination. Now, what I am looking for in a neighborhood has evolved. We are very fortunate to live in a fantastic neighborhood for us. In fact, over the years (it's been 14 now), we've considered moving for another garage and a mudroom. What brings us back to the decision to stay here is our neighbors.

Black Friday, a time to plan your budget. Today is the big retail day that kicks off the Christmas and Holiday spending season. For some, this is a bit easier, in terms of having a steady income with a

sandy springs real estate: Being a Class Act never goes out of style! - 11/25/09 09:20 PM
Being a Class Act never goes out of style! I just found out that Donny Osmond won Dancing with The Stars. I wasn't actually watching, but when I saw the last few minutes of the show taped from yesterday, it made a lot of sense. What I was thinking was that he has a fantastic support base, even outside of the large extended Osmond family. First, Donny has had a long career and is known and loved by millions. Second, he handled himself like a pro even after they announced he won, by hugging the runner-up when they were trying to

sandy springs real estate: Does it make sense to buy now in Sandy Springs? - 07/01/09 05:00 PM
We've seen a lot of downward activity in terms of price and units sold in the Atlanta Metro area over the past 18 months. While there is possibly more shake out happening, there are some great indicators that the downward trends are moderating. For instance, April to May statistics in Atlanta by SmartNumbers showed a .4% reduction in price month to month for 2009. Also, even more interestingly, fewer homes have been listed, expired and withdrawn. On the flip side we have started to see interest rates inching up from mid 4% to low to mid 5%. This makes a
