Experience Southern hospitality, charm and beautiful blooming spring flowers during the 42nd annual Eufaula Pilgrimage and Antique show - April 3rd, 4th and 5th, 2009. Homes listed on the National Register of Historic Places will be opened to intrigued visitors during this festive time returning to the Old South Days. FORT RUCKER MWR Christmas Tree Lighting The Fort Rucker Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremonyis an annual family favorite. New to the FT Rucker community or a long time resident, this event is sure to get you and your entire family into the holiday season. Mark you calendar, bundle up in your warmest winter coats and plan on attending the Fort Rucker Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 4, 2008. The event will begin at 5:00 pm. WHAT: The 17th Annual Fort Rucker Chili 5k Run & Cook off will be held on Saturday November 1st at Howze Field on FT Rucker.
FT Rucker Chili 5k History: In 2007, 33 chili booths provided nearly 495 gallons of chili, and over 500 runners participated in the FT Rucker chili 5k run. In addition, countless family members visited the fun, family-oriented activities. Picerne Military Housing on Fort Rucker hosted the Fall Festival to residents living on-post. Fall brings crisp cold mornings, blue skies and the changing colors of the leaves on Fort Rucker.
The Fort Rucker Fall Festival was held on Saturday October 18th. Residents living in on-post housing and military families in the surrounding Enterprise, Alabama area arrived at Bowden Terrace Neighborhood office on Division Street around 9 am. The sun was shining in the blue skies and a crisp chilly wind kept the fall festival goers cool. (2 comments)
German beer, traditional German food, carnival games, vendors, crafts and mingling amongst other festive goers. Live music entertainment will be provided and the event is to be enjoyed by the entire family. The event is open to the public, so all residents of the Wiregrass (Daleville, Enterprise, Ozark, Dothan and New Brockton) is encouraged to come out and enjoy the FT Rucker Okotberfest Annual Community Event. Picerne Military Housing is holding a Community Yard Sale Saturday, September 6 from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. The event will be held on FT Rucker, behind the Bowden Terrace Neighborhood Office in the large field across the street from Child and Youth Services. Parking will be available in the lower portion of the field off of Baker Street. All families currently living in on- post housing on Fort Rucker are invited to sell any household items. The Daleville Public Library is having a bake, book and rummage sale. The Daleville Library is located on Donnell Boulevard in Daleville. The Event will be September 5-6 from 10 am until 3 pm.
