Yesterday I read a cute post from Castellum Realty in reference to featured posts! As I read through the comments I had to chuckle...hmmm...some things never change...and yes a few made reference to the fact people write to only get featured! I am one of those people...I am not ashamed or either embarrassed, I would think if anyone blogs it is in fact to get yourself featured.

Every early voting site in the state will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. through Friday, October 31st, and for a total of 12 hours between 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 1st, and 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 2nd. Check your local voting location.

Today I attended the Legal Forum for the Daytona Beach Area Association of REALTORS at Indigo Lakes Golf and Country Club. An interesting discussion over • Standard of Practice 1-15- "Realtors®, in response to inquiries from buyers or cooperating brokers shall, with the Sellers's approval, disclose the existence of offers on the property. Where disclosure is authorized, Realtors® shall also disclose whether offers were obtained by the listing licensee, another licensee in the listing firm, or by a cooperating broker. I've been on a mission lately...you see..I have trouble understanding many of the financial posts and articles on the net...I think sometimes maybe its me.... but the reality is...my mind works different...different from most financial wizards..I know am not alone. I need it spelled out for me...just like many.... just like many consumers.
It's the same thing with the net..I'm no SEO expert..or even technical for that matter...I didn't take computer science in college..it was typing 101..and that alone has helped me with on line marketing. I study, I learn and I use plain common sense.

Today I was on the Florida Association of Realtors Website and they are offering FREE admission to the NAR Expo...the trade show!
I imagine other Associations have this opportunity posted as well. I'll be attending the expo and will be back and forth...because of one of our own...Denise Sutphin...will be getting married Saturday, November 8th at 4 pm.

Last week I was supposed to close on a contract.....Hooray! Well it seems there were a few delays...I can't blame the buyer...or the selling agent..or the loan officer.....there is no point in blaming..
The reality is... Approved for a loan? You better close quickly because guidelines seem to be changing every day! While the loan was approved...a few conditions popped up...not extraordinary conditions but conditions you would not expect for an A + borrower. Do You Really Appreciate The Fact That Technology Exists? I rang up groceries instead of scanning them..I hated those scanners..until I learned how to use them. Think about the television..it was a great step towards mankind when the remote control came out!
Now we have big screen televisions...surround sound..heck..the computer scientist has his computer hooked up to the tube..I don't have to watch what's on T.V.. I can watch anything on the net from my television....
Who would have thought that eventually our cars, our appliances even our alarm clocks would rely on technology...its really amazing...to me...

Recently I have been updating all of my social networking tools..which includes one of my favorites Mybloglog...in doing so...I found a few more social networks that I did not belong to.
Do I want more?????? NO, not really...but I know..we need them..for SEO..for on line presence. I haven't been crazy seeing some of the political posts that have come up..as a matter of fact..with the network so large...it seems...there is always...always...some great debate... about anything and everything.

It seems leases must be expiring in our part of town because so many potential renters have been calling...calling on homes for sale...to rent...and in many instances...they are calling on short sales. Is it because the home is vacant? I do believe it is.
Renters Be Very Careful! When I first moved to Daytona Beach, I rented a condo and after some time..being almost a year...a foreclosure notice came in..want to talk about stressful? It was...and we moved but not before getting guidance from a sheriff and a lawyer.

I was poor as a child..considered below poverty level but as a kid..you really don't understand..all I knew I was rich with love...a love so strong a mother sacrificed her children to allow them a better life...I remember...I don't forget...and sometimes I cry.
I think about what could have happened...appreciation for the egg sandwich we ate for dinner just about every night...or the bread milk and sugar..our breakfast bowls consist of...as a child..I ate it... as an adult... Agents ask me all the time should I use Multi-Million Dollar Producer in my marketing? I might get beat up right here in this post...but in most instances I tell them NO! Our words are powerful and we can send mixed messages especially if..we are looking to grow our businesses.

Today I sat through a REALTOR Code of Ethics Training...yes, I try and take it every year. I know you can do it free on line.
"Failure to comply with this required ethics training is a violation of a membership duty for which the member’s primary association will suspend membership until the training is complete."
For me I like to sit in a classroom..I like to socialize...gather and most of all learn..my goal in every training is to learn something new so that I may share with others..

I have always been a yahoo fan...I actually pay for my email address at yahoo..I purchase domain names through yahoo..I'm always rooting for them..and have always felt they are really under rated.
Last night I received an email from yahoo...for my domain name DaytonaRealEstateTrainer.com..I've had the domain for some time..but darn now time to renew and this is the message that I got.
Important note: Beginning on July 1, 2008, Yahoo!'s annual domain renewal price increases to $34.95 per year.

Today my heart is extremely heavy. It's a very sad day for the CENTURY 21 Sundance Family and the Dance family. George Dance, loving husband to Nancy Dance and father and grandfather of a very large group passed away today.
Not only was he a pillar in the community but has inspired many including myself and many others.
There really are no words to make things better, there are only memories that we all keep close to our hearts.

Thursday I spent the entire day at the FAR trade show. Rather than sit and take training I thought I would give my brain a rest..little did I know..there was so much to do and so much more to learn.
I spotted familiar faces..the guys from Zipvo.com were there..the same guys who attended the Daytona Beach Technology Fair. I got a kick out of the fact..across the browser their tabs were twitter, activerain and zipvo! Recently I joined their network..and I will say their site has so much to offer...
