daytona beach: Suggest Button - Do You Abuse It? - 09/25/10 05:14 PM

I love the suggest button and its also fabulous to see many new faces on the dashboard. On top of that with the ability to call the shots, I wonder do people abuse it? I myself have called the shots 5 times and I really value that privilege then again I was the sicko who enjoyed doing the Week in Review back in the day.

I receive a lot of emails everyday requesting that I call the shot..the truth is no matter who you are, the content has to be entertaining and well written for me to click the button.

Slowly I update my online presence, its painful but necessary with a brand new year ahead of us. I didn't have to read a book to tell me to change the direction of my business..I just looked in my pocket book...and at the reflection of myself in the mirror. Some interesting ongoing debates...throughout the blogosphere...people seem to STILL feel contempt towards the big dawgs...you know REALTOR.com.....Zillow and Trulia....
A question was posed to me...why send them to these places when they should be hitting your site...the point is CONSUMERS should be hitting your site...no debate here BUT when I think of what we do as listing agents...our job is to market listings to anyone and everyone and if that means its not your site? It's bad and wrong????

9:38 pm placed property listing on Craigslist.....10:20 pm...a question from a potential buyer...this morning...3 more questions.

While it might be questions...questions can turn into communication...which can turn into potential buyers and sellers.
The more you circulate your listings the better your chances are into turning them into sold!
With all the hoopla and negativity circulating around Craigslist...do not discount the value! One of the hotshots in our office...gets most of her property inquires right there.

I subscribe to many blogs..blogs outside the rain..and there seems to be something quite common which really makes no sense to me. When addressing everyone on the world wide net some feel it is necessary to always voice their opinion and there are occasions your opinion doesn't count..or maybe for the proper use of words..your opinion should not count..or voiced or expressed.
Sounds like a fight right? Think again..just an observation that I made...

Recently I went to court not because I am in trouble...but someone important to me...our real estate seller! See they live about 6 hours away..and yes the process of foreclosure has started. Laid off..injured car (needs repairs) and could not make the trip. So what was this seller to do?
They Asked Me To Appear in Court! This post was written in 2007 and today while rereading it..I thought it was worth repeating for a couple of reasons. Its nothing new but packed with info and truth... you take a risk when your customer feels they must talk to the manager...somewhere...somehow communication broke down and there is usually and underlying issue of why a customer becomes upset.
