OK, don't laugh but I see this all over the net.  I guess I notice these things more since I am no longer a REALTOR and tend to look at the Internet marketing of REALTORS as a consumer. So lets dig a little deeper and without your REALTOR hat ok?
CRS,ABR,CDPE,ALC,CCIM,CRS,CRE -There is More Where These Came From As a consumer?  What the heck is all that?  What does it mean?  They sound important but what do all the letters mean?  Why do some agents only have a few?  Could this be their license #? HUH?

Creating your place on the web is extremely important...finding your voice...your favorite places to socialize....consistency....and the time spent is crucial too.  Many people on the net are the Curious George type. At least I can speak for myself....when I am looking to purchase something...I don't just run to one site...I look around...and the site I select...is not based on domain name...or the first site I come across...I got to get that warm....fuzzy feeling...no not girlie but a comfort...based on information..and content found on the site...I want to see ratings...I want to see guarantees...I want to feel the trust through the world … (63 comments)

When working with agents sometimes I need to set the record straight...there is some myth that you can sit behind your keyword all day...everyday....and create an abundance of business.....enough business to support yourself throughout the year...while it can happen if you are a Zillow.com or a Trulia.com but as an individual trying to earn a good living...I'm here to tell you that real estate is a people to people business.  Sometimes all you need to do to take your business to the next level is get in front of more people.

Today I received an email from a real estate agent whose relative recently was hacked...their yahoo account...gmail account and Facebook.  What's an unsuspecting victim to do?

 
Here are the instructions I sent and you might want to bookmark for future reference.
Google Support -give them as much information about the account that you can remember.  The more information you offer the better they will be able to assist you! I read an interesting post yesterday about  Getting away from our roots on Activerain..(members only) ..opinions seem to vary.  Nothing new right, but I often wonder when people are posting are they simply posting for the people of network or for the world wide web?

Recently I have been trying to improve our web placement. Sometimes during my findings...it causes me to send an e-mail out to the company. One of the things I have learned through time is that sometimes...you just have to put your foot down...sometimes it has to be in your face to cause some change. Now our associates have been pretty good when it comes to Internet marketing and WEB 2.0 but just like the rest of the world there are some who just can't grasp it. Preparing for a training requires a lot of work. While the computer scientist helps along the way in placing me in the right direction, he cannot help me in my presentation or my words or even much of the research.
My results at the end of the 3 weeks were awesome but most importantly taught me I need to make some adjustments once again.  Let me share a few practical things I have learned....
