I'm quite the social butterfly..I don't mean I am out partying til the wee hours of the night or I attend every Chamber Event but what I will tell you where ever I go there always seems to be real estate conversation involved.

It seems lately when I talk real estate... consumer's get an interesting look on their face. 
Then I hear, "How many jobs do you work right now?  Or I hoped you saved while the market was hot! 
But my favorite is I used to be in the business, boy I feel sorry for you!"

media: Blame Game Enough! Take Back Your Profession! Do What You Do Best And Sell Real Estate! - 04/09/08 12:54 PM

Recently I walked out of a real estate training feeling a bit peeved. 
I could not bare to listen to the entire training because some words struck a cord. 
It was typical and its sickening...the blame game...enough! 
It's time for all of us to take back our profession and do what we do best....SELL SOME REAL ESTATE!
Now this educator stated to approximately 50 real estate professionals in a room how the problems with real estate stem from the mortgage industry..  Some may agree but they stated greed.  I got a little peeved..peeved enough to walk out the training.

media: Have We Lost Our Humanity? Big Guts on Little Blogs! Let The Family Mourn! - 02/26/08 05:56 AM
Recently my son's have had a few things to deal with...unique and life altering.  My youngest son Bob 22 , lost a childhood friend...recently shot and killed by police.  This post is not about the police or even the chain of events that occurred but that fact that sometimes you just have to let family and friends mourn...without cruel words attached.

I know that we could get into a heated debate here as to what transpired with this young mans life and maybe the twists and turns which caused his death...

media: Homeownership.... Are You A Believer? - 11/02/07 03:48 PM
Recently I saw a great article in the rain about combating the media and I have to agree...we must present a clear picture of our industry and what is happening based on facts, our own market places and our local economies.
Instead of listening to all of it...we need to create the media...create it by working harder than ever, training to be stronger.  Hard work + training to be stronger =more sales. 
Yesterday I was sitting with one of our top producer's. We were discussing market trends and the difference between selling real estate in the 80's and now.
