real estate: How To Make A Reblog Your Own! - 04/20/10 02:30 PM
Oh, the topic of reblog always surfaces for various reasons.  I find that many of the articles I write are reblogged and sometimes very often.  I love it and appreciate it but sometimes the reblogger is short changing themselves.
Reblog | Repeat | Relive | Revive | Revisit | Recoupe | Reproduce In most cases people re blog articles because of the quality of content and because it can be beneficial not only in saving time but also important information for their clients and customers.
To me reblogging is a win win situation but you must make the re-blog your own … (33 comments)

real estate: Real Estate Is Technical Warfare! - 04/17/10 11:53 AM
Creating your place on the web is extremely important...finding your voice...your favorite places to socialize....consistency....and the time spent is crucial too.  Many people on the net are the Curious George type. At least I can speak for myself....when I am looking to purchase something...I don't just run to one site...I look around...and the site I select...is not based on domain name...or the first site I come across...I got to get that warm....fuzzy feeling...no not girlie but a comfort...based on information..and content found on the site...I want to see ratings...I want to see guarantees...I want to feel the trust through the world … (63 comments)

real estate: Dealing With Bank of America: A Consumer Perspective - 03/10/10 08:47 AM
If you remember it was just a few days ago that I posted about Bank of America and how a Daytona Beach real estate seller is still getting billed...still receiving phone calls...and cannot file their taxes due to mishandling of their short sale in the closing department....
A little update...and dealing with Bank of America: A consumer perspective All of us including the seller, myself and the title company have tried to provide information to Bank of America in order to close out a short sale that closed and recorded in November...
Good deal at least it was recorded with the … (7 comments)

real estate: Come On Bank Of America Get Your $%# Together! - 03/04/10 08:40 AM
Last night I recieved an alarming call from one of my past customers...that's right...alarming...you see we closed on their short sale in October...the closing took place without any hitches...the title company did what they were supposed to and at the end...the buyers moved into the house..commissions checks cut......but there is one problem....
The seller continues to get statements...bills....and phone calls!  WHY?  Because this closed and funded transaction is still in Bank of America's closing department?
Come on Bank Of America Get Your %#%^ Together! So far the explanation is that the Negotiator who had this file...no longer works for them...someone dropped … (109 comments)

real estate: Happy New Years Wishes - 12/31/09 09:30 PM

Watch live streaming video from 2010 at livestream.com 2009 was a challenging year for many, myself included.  But 2009 taught me so much... Here are a few things I personally learned and I plan to take these thoughts with me as we enter into 2010.
Don't be set in your ways..bend...be flexible...be up for the challenge of change The only thing consistent in 2009 was change Take care of self first.. You can't throw your eggs all in one basket but you can't spread yourself too thin Consumer, Connection, Service, Knowledge in that order Be kind to people you really … (16 comments)

real estate: Marketing Your Listings To Anyone and Everyone! - 11/14/09 11:08 AM
Some interesting ongoing debates...throughout the blogosphere...people seem to STILL feel contempt towards the big dawgs...you know REALTOR.com.....Zillow and Trulia....
A question was posed to me...why send them to these places when they should be hitting your site...the point is CONSUMERS should be hitting your site...no debate here BUT when I think of what we do as listing agents...our job is to market listings to anyone and everyone and if that means its not your site?  It's bad and wrong????
To give a seller a fighting chance with global exposure from various places...selecting high traffic...known sources of where real estate buyers and … (16 comments)

real estate: Dissing Activerain, Why? - 10/15/09 12:35 PM

Yesterday I received an interesting email from someone who reads my blogs.  It's not a member but an outsider looking in...a real estate agent who never tried nor cared to join ActiveRain...based on "what they heard!"
They wondered why I placed all of my quality content here on this network rather than build my own blogs.
"Since you are an ActiveRain Ambassador and getting paid by the network  Don't you think you might disclose it?" Blah..blah...blah...blah..blah.. I think you get the jest of it...
Dissing Activerain, Why?   Long winded...disrespectful and made my blood boil.  :)  I think I … (105 comments)

real estate: Do You Make Decisions For Your Real Estate Buyers? - 07/21/09 11:58 AM
When I bought my first house..my agent made a lot of decisions for me...while we discussed offering price..one thing I knew..regardless of what the agent said I thought about my affordability.  Meaning..it was important to keep my payment at a certain place..that meant..if I could not keep my payment where I wanted it.  I had to keep looking...looking for a home that I could afford.
I didn't know much about obtaining a mortgage..or title insurance...it was OK..my REALTOR picked them for me..but if I knew then what I know now...would I have done things differently...you betcha!
Do you as an … (67 comments)

real estate: The Misconception of Wealth - 05/02/09 12:08 PM
Many real estate companies are changing the way they do business...doors closing..models being changed...to stay alive in 2009.

The Broker's goal is to make a profit..this is their business..they depend on many....based on your word and actions as an agent...built on trust...in hopes to be compensated for the services they provide.
Some brokers require accountability...some brokers foot the bill for agents to make money!
There are many different models and the models and methods will continue to change as long as their are costs involved!
Nothing wrong with that as real estate agents..you must review the same as above … (9 comments)

real estate: What Do Visionaries and Gumby Have In Common? They Both Bend! - 02/07/09 07:40 PM
Recently I wrote a post about attending court on behalf of a seller...I didn't think I did anything extraordinary..I just treated the seller the way that I would like to be treated.  If it didn't work...we had nothing to lose...but if it did...we had so much to gain!
It's those uncertain situations that people need to know how much we care and that we are in the here and now assisting...achieving and working towards their goals..and by having an open mind and trying something a bit different..would almost be called visionary...wishful thinking.. and just a dream!

It's a good … (8 comments)

real estate: When Should You Report Bad Customer Service? - 12/05/08 10:04 AM
A few months back I had a bad customer service experience..well I can't say it was bad service..but more like bad conversation..an employee of this establishment talked politics..with the same passion as the ladies on the view..I admit she stressed me out and I found her to be hateful and rude......once she saw what I did for a living...she ran back to trash one of the REALTORS in our company. Was I insulted?  Yes I was... so insulted I swore I would never go back.

Problem was I needed the service again..and they are the best in town.
I asked … (49 comments)

real estate: Cre8buzz Opens Membership to Everyone! - 04/01/08 10:13 PM
There has got to be something said about start-ups and watching communities grow.  I remember the early days of Activerain, I think about them once in a while..but to me its the now I find truly dazzling..who would have ever thought we the people could change the face of real estate.  That's right all of us on the network has contributed to change in our real estate industry..with transparency..with training and coaching and finally after many years supporting one another.

I received an e-mail a few days ago that CRe8buzz is open to everyone.  They are ready to grow and have … (23 comments)

real estate: Writer's Strike...Why? Real Estate Will Be Affected! - 01/28/08 08:28 AM
Last night I sat and read wikipedia about the writer's guild strike. I truly can see both sides of the issue. In 2007, the studio's and the writer's could not come to terms with the renewals of upcoming contracts. Therefore, in fact it brought us to this point. While some actors and actresses are supporting this, they too, are suffering, paying writer's out of their pockets...and really without writer's their craft is affected.
As I went through the lists of T.V. shows that will be affected...some shows weren't picked up until after the strike was announced...it horrified me. Not because of the … (20 comments)

real estate: 4th Grade and Still No Computer Training At School? Will Our Kids Be Ready For The Future? - 01/06/08 02:59 PM
This morning while enjoying my morning coffee and sitting with my family..I asked my 9 year old step son some specific details about school. That's right Louie and I are weekend warriors. Danny lives out of our area...and we only spend the weekends and a few holidays here and there with him. It's not ez...but it is what it is!
He is currently in the 4th grade, very intelligent.. so much like the computer scientist, Louie's very own mini me. Now when you see them together...they have the same gestures...same thought process...and similar thirst for knowledge.

real estate: No Miss Cleo Here......Midori's Predictions for 2008....Let's See If I Can Quit My Day Job Next Year! - 12/31/07 06:08 AM

Realize even in predictions you must have a disclaimer...so let me present that immediately....These predictions are for entertainment purposes only...at least for now....let's just see how close I can get...maybe.....I might be able to quit my day job next year.............

1.  More and more people will appreciate and understand the benefits of social networking....I predict Activerain's membership will grow and triple the current members presently...that means there will be at least 199,777 by next year at the same … (45 comments)

real estate: Those Were The Days Are Now! - 12/20/07 09:09 PM
When I was a kid, this song was popular in 1968. Tonight while trying to get inspired I decided to listen and watch some music video's. I came across this video, read the words and listen to the song in its entirety it made me think of the real estate industry. Remember the rookie years, you know the new agent enthusiam you once possessed? How about being top producer of your office for a month, remember how you got there? Remember when you made what you considered good money? Get rid of those thoughts unless they drive you. Get ready now..We … (10 comments)
