real estate agents: Alphabet Soup or Real Estate Designations! - 05/20/10 08:53 PM
As you know that there are more and more real estate designations popping up.  Not only are designations given by NAR, independent training companies as well as real estate companies issue designations.  Recently while reviewing an agents site I think I came on to something.  I have to share.....
At one time I felt that real estate designations where not important, while we know in the industry they mean something...the initials that is...rarely did I ever really pay attention.
Alphabet Soup or Real Estate Designations? But as I started reading the criteria in which an agent must obtain these simple initials...the … (14 comments)

real estate agents: The Biggest Critics of Real Estate Agents - 06/08/09 06:40 AM
Ever stop to think who are the biggest critics of real estate agents?..its clear... Other real estate agents
Ever wonder why the public sees us in the light in which they do? Real Estate Agents being critical of other real estate agents!  Please spare me..its the nature of the business because in many professions its just not true.
I once found info about a well love well respected broker..that would blow you away..it wasn't from a customer..who we as agents serve..but a fellow broker, perhaps envious of the business they do.  I found it pathetic and very very wrong!

real estate agents: BPO Agents + ShortSales=Complications? - 05/17/09 01:25 AM
A Note To all Lenders and Financial Institutions If you want to get it right and get properties sold..I would concern yourself with the agents selected to do BPO's.  Friday I received and order and I declined it...while some would think it was crazy...I did what was best for the market.

In all fairness don't think for a minute I do not need the income..I'm not above doing BPO's...and just like many others I need the income coming in or I won't sleep at night then again...doing something that I believe would hurt other parties..would cause insomnia!

real estate agents: A Low Ball Offer- Are You The Owner? - 03/11/09 07:45 AM
Real estate agents sometimes take low ball offers a little too personally.  Sometime so personal that words are exchanged and nothing gets accomplished!
Are You The Owner Because You Are Taking This Low Ball Offer A bit Personal? While agents are sometimes shocked that this might occur..a perfect house in the perfect neighborhood...Low ball offers are nothing new..
low ball offers may very well turn into a contract...and income in your pocket!
Don't tell me you have to control the buyer because in many cases buyers today have certain thoughts in their mind...its up to us to present the facts..and kill … (44 comments)

real estate agents: Three Strikes You're Out-It's Not Baseball-Its Real Estate And Mortgages! - 03/04/09 07:20 AM
The listing machine had this problem...when he was referred a customer by a local bank!  With pre-approval and the bank handing him the business..it was good enough... the pre-approval letter that is.  On closing day..loan denied..little communication...little explanation...little did he know..the buyer was never approved!  When he tried to contact the banker...no response.

Strike One Fast forward a few months..our little hot shot...city recommends bank...for a 1st time home buyer..buyer pre-approved..the hot shot skeptical..because the hot shot knew..what happened with the listing machine.  Same bank...same loan officer..no approval...no closing..but the hot shot still is working the transaction..
Strike Two Yesterday..one … (19 comments)

real estate agents: Ask A Buyer of A Shortsale-Did You Lock Your Rate? - 07/24/08 09:15 PM
Some buyer's choose to lock in their rates ASAP while others take a gamble and wait.  Since turn around time for 3rd party approval is taking longer than ever.

If you talk to a short sale specialist..they will tell you..right now they are overworked and really backed up..backed up weeks and some even months.
Heck you call some banks...its sounds like a telemarketing room!
The buyer who takes the gamble is the buyer I am talking about.
Keep in mind with the way guidelines are changing everyday..the rate the buyer was qualified for 60 days ago..may no longer be … (12 comments)

real estate agents: Full-Time VS. Part Time Real Estate Agent? What's The Definition to you? - 07/02/08 06:59 AM
Yesterday in our sales meeting we talked about the Makeover2Takeover contest.  My apprentice, Jeannette Neerpat puts approximately 20 hours a week in real estate.  Years ago that might be considered part-time but today, if you streamline your business you can infact work fewer hours and enjoy getaways and vacations.

Quality hours working with systems and tools to help you to be much more efficient..
That's what this contest has given Jeannette..a much easier way to manage her real estate career.

real estate agents: Real Estate Agents and Loan Officers..Listen Up...Can't We All Just Get Along? - 09/26/07 07:27 PM
Real Estate is a hard enough gig these days with cooperation but without cooperation it can be just pure havoc!  If only people would realize it takes an entire team to get a transaction closed.
If one person drops the ball someone else must intercept.  Sounds like football..Nah..I say it's teamwork...plain and simple. T-E-A-M W-O-R-K!
