I've been working with a real estate agent out of the area in regards to real estate training.  Most recently I had to laugh when we did the buyer series, the routine question after we are done, did you get anything out of the training?  The one thing that stuck in her mind was bring toilet paper when showing houses.
I know not the subject most people want to talk about but lets get real when mother nature calls there is no stopping her. Just think about a couple of things.

Yesterday I was working away in the office...and the next thing I know...someone in our office was being served docs and notified they must give a deposition...two magazines battling back and forth!  Yes this has been ongoing and I personally think it's a silly lawsuit at that!
The worst of the worst comes out of people when times are tough! The interesting thing was when I introduced myself as Midori..he already knew who I was and was pretty excited, "Are you Midori Miller?"  A legend in my own mind! :)   I knew then it must be Activerain efforts.

Goodbye 2008...what a year!...and I look forward to 2009! 
I've been getting a lot of emails with questions about various topics in real estate and its interesting..because we all have so many different points of view. 
But when someone comes to me for assistance...
I tell them what I think and its up to them to decide and implement or not.
As I read opinions on the rain...it's clear no two agents are alike or trainers for that matter...but as 2009 approaches..I tend to take my dads advice...

Yesterday I was supposed to be in Orlando watching Nancy's son in a Martial Arts tournament.  I had planned on going to this for months.
I missed the event, why because of the chain of events that occurred this week that have prevented me from getting back in my car and driving.  Am I spooked or is it my intuition? 
Thursday, while pulling into one of our offices, I hit a curb. Friday, Noticed Major Radiator LeakFriday, I attended my committee meeting, I wasn't happy about driving with the leak and thru the Biketoberfest traffic so I called in hopes they cancelled. It … (20 comments)

How many times have you taken a listing for the seller to call you back to cancel you listing agreement? 
Or sit at the closing table waiting for the seller to show up and they never do? 
If either have happened, don't feel bad, I say "Welcome to Real Estate!"
(Boy, did I make mistakes early on in my career)  
Now let's take a step-back and review....

Real Estate is a hard enough gig these days with cooperation but without cooperation it can be just pure havoc!  If only people would realize it takes an entire team to get a transaction closed. 
If one person drops the ball someone else must intercept.  Sounds like football..Nah..I say it's teamwork...plain and simple. T-E-A-M W-O-R-K!

If you pick up a key, return it, how hard can it be?   If we made the arrangements for you to have the key in a timely fashion, why is it so difficult to return the key once you are done.

Recently activity has gained momentum in our office.  It's been interesting with the new set of issues popping up on transactions.  To me some quite unique but other's, same problems, different customer. 
I am not perfect nor am I actively selling but I can assure you some things never change!

If you are struggling to get your transactions closed or you want to sell more real estate, think about these things.
1.  Do you know the difference between lease option or lease purchase?  Not sure ask!
