spam: Taking Security Measures-Help I Was Hacked! - 11/30/09 07:04 PM

Today I received an email from a real estate agent whose relative recently was hacked...their yahoo account...gmail account and Facebook. What's an unsuspecting victim to do?

Here are the instructions I sent and you might want to bookmark for future reference.
Google Support -give them as much information about the account that you can remember. The more information you offer the better they will be able to assist you! If you are like me you might have joined a few social networks you know with a blogging platform and no matter what you do..those darn notifications that someone left you a comment keep rolling in..you know cases and cases of spam comment notifications overload your email. OR-
Maybe you joined many social networks you know trying them out possibly getting a FREE Trial and you really don't want to give out your email address but you need an email address to sign up..and the next thing you know..your email box is overloaded with tons of spam? I'm Sorry.. I Goofed and it was a reminder don't believe everything that you read..even if it is from a very good friend...who just like myself has very good intentions.
I sent all of my friends an email..that I thought was from facebook and in the instructions it states send it to all your friends or all of their friends would be deleted...HUH?
So I spammed emailed .. tortured my friends..without checking the right sources... and before you know it...
I panicked and hit the send button..the thought of losing my friends was not a pleasant thought.

Recently someone sent me a reminder email asking me for the sample of the prelisting presentation. I admit..I have tried hard to keep up with these requests but sometimes I don't look in the ever dreaded spam folder!
I keep the emails and go through them at my leisure.
It seems when my spam filter is too tight..I am missing important information and customer requests..that why I choose to go through every piece of email that I receive.
This weekend was the weekend to get it together and get much more organized...when you recieve over 800 emails a day … (48 comments)

I don't know about you but I am a marketer's dream..I sign up for just about anything..that's right FREE..... e-books...demo's and trials of software.
Now when I sign of for these FREE items...I know somehow...someway..I will be solicited...
I don't have a problem with it and I expect it...
BUT your E-Mail Drip Campaign is killing me!

Think about dating someone you barely know..do you start full force with force..or do you court them and let the love bloom?
Usually when the pace is too fast..and the feelings are not mutual..you end up parting company..cut off..it's over..the end!

spam: Is This Spam?.....No...It's Clark Kent! - 08/24/07 05:52 PM

The past few days have been so hectic but very productive. Ahhhh, the feeling of accomplishment....a job well done! Just like my voice-mail I check my e-mails just as often sometimes more! I have been playing in the blogosphere a little more than usual.
Setting up profiles, starting my own personal blog and just plain reading and registering all over the place.
One thing I have noticed the more I do the more spam I get. So glad I have it separated. In most instances its helpful.
