In any real estate transaction there are closing cost for buyers and sellers. For most buyers in Jacksonville and surrounding areas obtaining financing, closing cost are usually anywhere from 3 -6% and since they are tied to the loan these cost can vary depending on several things.
1. Type of loan - Are you getting Va, FHA or conventional financing?
2. Down Payment - If you put down less than 20% with FHA or Conventional loans you can expect your closing cost to include upfront PMI (Private Mortgage insurance) in addition to other cost. PMI will also increase your monthly payments.
