Do you know what mobile tagging is?  How many of you use your smart phone to scan a tag on a house flyer and get directed to a website, movie or anything with additional info. on the home?  I'm guessing many of you don't because the house flyer does not have a tag to read!  Perhaps you have never even heard of a "tag or a tag reader"?  Tags on house flyers may not be rampant by any means, but it's a great way to get more info. to a potential buyer.

First off, here is what a tag looks like: 

Now you need to have a smart phone and the ability to download a tag reader.  I have an iphone and yep, there's an app for that!  The one I use and it works well is Microsoft Tag Reader.  Just search for it at the App store on your phone and download it.  Now you can read any tags anywhere.  You can go here: http://gettag.mobi/ to find apps for other phones.

Now if you are a Real Estate Agent and would like to incorporate these tags into your brochures follow these steps:

Go to http://tag.microsoft.com/create-your-own-tag.aspx and sign up for an account.  This is where you will design the tag.  Once signed up, just follow the steps on how to create a tag.  Save your tag on your desktop so you can easily add it to a flyer.  They allow you to save as a pdf, tiff, jpg, etc depending on your preference.  You will be able to direct the tag to take the consumer to any URL you desire.
