Out of the 7 neighborhoods in Downtown San Diego the East Village/Ballpark District has most sold units of 312. Not too far behind was the Little Italy District with 209 units sold. The Cortez Hill District had 102 units sold. The Marina District and the Columbia District shared 4th place with a total of 171 units sold. With a total of 1,029 Downtown San Diego Condos and Downtown San Diego Lofts sold in 2011, Resale's shows 403 sales and Developer a number of 217 sales. This is totally the opposite if you compare to the year 2010 when Developer sales were dominating the Downtown San Diego market. Wow…if you compare with last year…resale’s were pretty much at the bottom of the scale but for the first quarter of 2011 they are totally leading the way with 80 condos & lofts sold in Downtown San Diego out of a total of 256. Both short sales and REO’s (bank owned) has also stepped up the latter to a total of 54 vs. 53. The only category that has declined is the developer sales.
