Often times it's easy to forget that Bankers Hill falls into our 92101 zip code. The holiday season is officially here in Downtown San Diegoand Little Italy’s Tree Lighting and Christmas Village is a festive way to celebrate this joyous season’s arrival.
This Saturday, December 3rd, from 4-7:30pm, Piazza Natale (on the corner of W. Date and India) will be the place to witness the lighting of the tree and the start of giving and receiving that takes place in December. When I tell friends, clients and acquaintances that don’t live in Downtown San Diego that I live in a city with 1.37 million people and that I don’t have a car…they look at me like I’m crazy. They ask; how do you get around? I say; I’m a Downtown San Diego Condo home owner and I walk everywhere.
I have lived here for quite some time now and I rarely make it through a day where I don’t run into somebody that I know or recognize on the streets as I am doing my day to day routine.

Yes, that’s right. Lula Mae Flowers in theLittle Italy District of Downtown San Diegoholds a weekly happy happy hour on Friday evenings from 5-6pm. This has to be the first of its kind. At least I’ve never heard of, or thought of, going to a happy hour at a flowershop…sounds interesting.
Lula Mae’s happy hour consists of gourmet cupcakes, refreshments and half price, freshly cut flowers. The goal of this weekly function is to get the Downtown San Diego Loft and Condo owners together, gossip about the latest news and possibly even meet some new friends.
