Don't let the late start to summer weather in Lacey WA fool you, summer events are right around the corner. In fact, Lacey Parks and Recreation Department kicks off their FREE summer entertainment schedule tomorrow night at Huntamer Park. So bring the blanket, the umbrella, the flip-flops, and sunglasses and come out to enjoy the opening night of the Children's Entertainment Series.

The City of Olympia Arts Commission, Dept. of Parks, Arts & Recreation along with local business sponsors invite you out to the 16th Annual Arts Walk this Friday, October 2, 2009. Over 100 participating businesses in Downtown Olympia open their doors to help visual and performing artists showcase their talents.
The spring version of this event is a huge hit, with the famed Procession of the Species stealing much of the spotlight. This year's fall version of the event will feature live painting exhibits, poetry and short story readings, live music, dancing, children's activities, photography slide shows and much more. Lacey Parks and Recreation Department has yet another action packed summer planned for kids and adults alike. Starting June 23rd, you can enjoy some great family friendly entertainment ABSOLUTELY FREE at Huntamer Park (map).
On Tuesday evenings at 6:30 you can enjoy the Children's Entertainment Series with events including Shakespeare in the Park, The Tom Question Show, and Recess Monkey.
Then on Wednesdays at noon, starting June 24th, there will be live musical performances in the park for "Lacey in Tune" concert series. Come out and see local performers take on jazz and swing, American pop, calypso & reggae, The Beatles … (0 comments)
