Recently, the RainCamp train made a slight deviation from its normal 'Big City' course. After doing LA, New York, DC, Dallas, Chicago and a number of other big market cities, we booked a RainCamp in Prescott. Some of you may have been thinking, "Prescott? Where the heck is that and how did RainCamp end up … (8 comments)

chapel hill: Can you say "Family Friendly?" BusinessWeek does in Chapel Hill, NC! - 12/11/09 01:00 PM
I'm not real crazy about referring to "Family Friendly" properties, towns, etc when I am talking with clients and potential clients.  Fair Housing issues and all, you know?
But... BusinessWeek has published a ranking naming Chapel Hill, NC, as one of the top places in the country to raise kids.   The University influence on the public schools, the highly educated populace, great natural surroundings, and small town vibe seemed to click with them.
I wasn't raised there.  Wonder what that portends for me?

chapel hill: Morrisville, NC: Vacant land is a rare commodity. Find it here! - 06/03/09 09:40 PM
Morrisville is a hot spot of activity, with a great location between Cary, Raleigh, RDU International Airport, and the Research Triangle Park.
Many residents live in Morrisville due to the easy commute to RTP.  Sometimes it is a compromise for a two-income household.  One person commutes to RTP, and the other may have an easy drive to employment centers in Cary, Raleigh, Durham, or Chapel Hill.
With the extension of the freeway, NC 540 connecting West Cary and North Raleigh as it passes through Morrisville, the small town has become an easy jumping off point for many Triangle attractions.

chapel hill: SOLD!: Chapel Hill, NC: 705 N Estes Drive, A nicely updated Contemporary Ranch Home - 03/24/08 06:54 AM
Mark wanted to do an updating project.  We found this home in Chapel Hill, NC, and thought it had potential.
I think Mark did a real nice job in  bringing out the potential of this 23 year old ranch home.
It is within walking distances of some of the region's best rated schools, and offers easy access to all the amenities of Chapel Hill.
Recnetly the price has been reduced to $350,000, putting the home $25,000 below the March 2008 appraisal.

chapel hill: Cary NC Real Estate, Do you do "Animal House" Real Estate? - 10/18/07 09:42 PM
What should the relationship with a real estate agent feel like?
Should a client or prospective client expect consultation... or manipulation?
Pressure, or presentation of facts?
Old school boiler room tactics, or the comfort of working with an agent who really cares?
I prefer to work with clients on a personal basis, responding to their needs, and anticipating where that will take us.
How compatible are pressing for the sale, "badgering" the client like an adversary, and working as a fiduciary?
Badgering is aptly portrayed in the Johnson Auto "Tired of being Badgered?" advertising campaign that lampoons old school sales, and is currently in … (7 comments)
